Fragments of this Great Secret have been found in the oral traditions, in literature, in religions and philosophies throughout the centuries. In this audiobook you will discover the Secret, and you will learn how to have, do, or be anything you want.

Great idea presented in the worst way
Revisado: 01-10-19
OK, so this thing really works. However, this book leaves a lot to be desired:
1) At times I wasn't sure if I was listening to the book itself, or just a very long advertisement of it. I felt like in one of those TV shopping shows where they talk the money out of elderly people's wallet to buy a set of knives or a vacum cleaner.
2) There's nothing about how it works. We are NOT our thoughts. Our thoughts are just clutter that prevent us from seeing the world for what it is. We get our energy and intuition from our basic self, and it is highly receptive of hypnosis. So it does matter what kind of movie we make our inner child watch. Plus, our minds are connected and we reflect each others' frequencies. But it's not like I visualize money and the universe will send me an unexpected cheque. All opportunities surround us at all times, it's a matter of tuning ourselves to the right frequency and thus noticing what we really want.
3) The worst part is that this book takes one of the best tools out there and tells people to use it for the worst possible purposes: to want and chase money, physical possessions, etc...as long as you make your happiness depend on achieving or getting something, you're doing it wrong. There is no way to happiness, happiness is THE WAY! Do yourself a favor and read some Dan Millman books instead.

Fall of Giants is his magnificent new historical epic. The first novel in The Century Trilogy, it follows the fates of five interrelated families - American, German, Russian, English, and Welsh - as they move through the world-shaking dramas of the First World War, the Russian Revolution, and the struggle for women's suffrage.

Best of the best. I was totally hooked.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
The book itself is a masterpiece. I love history but I imagine it should be interesting for anyone who's not such a history enthusiast. Great attention to historical details, you can witness the XXth century through the eyes of the characters.
As for the narration: the best I've heard. There are many nationalities and dialects and the narrator does them all perfectly! Even the Russians having learned English in Wales and those having learned in the US have different Russian accents. Absolutely brilliant!!!
I've never been so hooked on to an audiobook...

Breathtaking adventures!
Revisado: 07-24-17
What made the experience of listening to Bailout Over Normandy the most enjoyable?
1) The events that happened. Nobody from today's World can possibly make up a story as thrilling as this one, let alone imagine that it actually happened to real people.
2) The language. I could listen to anything being talked about in such manner for hours.
3) The narrator - he has a fantastic voice, and great acting skills.
What other book might you compare Bailout Over Normandy to and why?
"Thumult in the clouds" by James Goodson
What about Corey M. Snow’s performance did you like?
His accent and voice acting skills. Too bad it's obvious he doesn't speak a word of French, and does an atrocious job of trying to pronounce the numerous French words in the story. 5 stars, nonetheless.

Historia
Spitfire Ace provides a vivid portrait of the few that flew in the Battle of Britain. The battle, in 1940, was one of the most famous air battles in the history of warfare. It is a story of ruthless organisation, and brilliant control and command. And at its heart is a legendary figure, the RAF fighter pilot, and one particular plane, a piece of machinery of almost mythic historical glamour: the Supermarine Spitfire.

Would you listen to Spitfire Ace again? Why?
Absolutely. It wasn't the usual dry recollection of events, but a relatable story full of personal accounts, action, and feelings. I only wish it was longer.

An African American sharecropper’s son from Mississippi, Jesse became the navy’s first Black carrier pilot, defending a nation that wouldn’t even serve him in a bar.

A must read, not only for history enthusiasts
Revisado: 02-03-17
Where does Devotion rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
In the top 5 for sure
Who was your favorite character and why?
I can't really pick one. The author did a great job leading us through the story using multiple main characters.
What does Dominic Hoffman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He's a great narrator. Very nice tone of voice, and he really understood what he was reading, but without overdoing the acting part.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Not sure, but this book would make a VERY good movie!
Any additional comments?
Somehow the reviews and summaries don't do justice to this one. Even though I loved "Higher Call" I was hesitant to buy this one. Well, it's just as good as the author's first book. At times it made me laugh out loud, and times I had to fight my tears while listening to it on public transportation. A fascinating story that is well written, and read by a very talented narrator.

Half history lesson, half personal accounts. Dan Hampton has this masterful ability to go into technical details to satisfy the tech savvy, yet making it understandable and interesting for everyone. This, combined with John Pruden's narration is a must have. He is the best narrator out there, hands down bar none!

Historia
Before becoming an instructor in the Navy's Topgun program, Dave "Bio" Baranek was just another kid with a dream. Upon graduating from college, he joined the Navy with the goal of becoming a fighter pilot. But, his eyesight waning, he knew that he would never be able to reach that goal. Undaunted, he plowed ahead and found his niche as a radar intercept operator in the backseat of the sleek, new Grumman F-14 Tomcat.

Just as good as Topgun Days
Revisado: 12-02-16
Dave is an excellent storyteller, I enjoyed this book just as much as Topgun Days. The narrator, however, was terrible. Not in the same league as Jeremy Arthur, John Pruden or Eric Martin.

Revisado: 04-18-16
Although a private pilot, I have very limited knowledge about helicopters. When I bought this audiobook I had no idea what to expect. This book will give you an insight what it was like to fly Hueys over Vietnam. It got me interested in helicopters, I'm sure I'll do some further reading.
