I took a chance on a new book with no reviews yet
Revisado: 11-02-20
I took a chance on this new book that popped up with no reviews yet.
It was....weird.
The narrator wasn't my favorite. The way she spoke sounded like someone reading lines that's never acted before.
That being said, it did suck me in and I wanted to know what was going to happen.
It's VERY sexual. Consensual and rape both. That can be a good thing or not so good thing, depending on your preferences, but I think that's something people would want to know.
Since this is Book 1 in a series, the ending was kind of abrupt and left alot of questions. I'm sure that was the point, but I was kind of hoping to not have to listen to this narrator again, just to find out what happens.

I did not expect to like this book...
Revisado: 08-03-20
The story description didnt really catch my interest, but one review said they didnt think they were going to like it and they loved it, so I decided to listen.
I almost regretted it in the first few chapters...it did not keep me interested and I was thinking "this is NOT my kind of book, I made a mistake"
Then just as quick, it had me sucked in and kept me on the edge of my seat the rest of the book!
LOVED this book!!

Caught my interest in so many ways!
Revisado: 07-16-20
First off, the narrator's performance was so good, I kept forgetting it was one person speaking. Kudos to her!
I also, did not see that ending coming. I thought I knew what the twist was going to be, but I was wrong!
this story totally had me sucked in and feeling the main character's stress to prove the truth.
I also hate good books with bad endings, but this one lived up to my standards and I got complete closure with this ending.
Loved this book!

One evening, her husband, Gabriel, returns home late from a fashion shoot, and Alicia shoots him five times in the face and then never speaks another word. Sucked me in right away
Revisado: 06-11-20
I really liked the main characters, the sarcasm and humor was great too. The story had a few layers I wasn't expecting, but it readily wrapped together by the end. Then add a couple of surprise twists, it was a great book!

Revisado: 02-07-20
I love it when an author can "get me" with a surprise twist! Especially when I think I have figured it out.
This is my second Lisa Jewell book and I think I found my new favorite author! Plus the narrator is very talented and helped me really feel the characters. Great book!!

I did NOT see that coming.. or that.. or that..
Revisado: 01-08-20
This book EXCEEDED my expectations!
I am fairly good at figuring out "what's going to happen next" or "I bet that person is going to be the bad guy" but this book had me confused at every plot twist! (yes there's multiple) and it never got boring for me.
The narrator does a fantastic job switching between the multiple thick accents of the characters (Australian, portugese, Scottish, American, British, etc) and I didn't find myself recoiling when she spoke as a Male character (my own hang up lol).
I got this book because it was a flash deal if $4 and it was worth it and much more!

Awesome! I didn't want it to end!
Revisado: 12-19-19
Kevin Hart Is my kind of humor, so I thought I would give this one a shot and I WAS NOT disappointed! I stayed engaged the whole time and of course he cracked me up as well.
I'm not a big autobiography person, nor do I care much about famous people's lives, but this was incredibly enlightening. He shared his life story, but also instilled teachings and lessons learned through out the story.
I might listen again if I get stuck and cant find another book to listen to.
