Historia
In her late 20s, Cait Flanders found herself stuck in the consumerism cycle that grips so many of us: earn more, buy more, want more, rinse, repeat. Even after she worked her way out of nearly $30,000 of consumer debt, her old habits took hold again. When she realized that nothing she was doing or buying was making her happy - only keeping her from meeting her goals - she decided to set herself a challenge: she would not shop for an entire year. The Year of Less documents Cait's life for 12 months during which she bought only consumables.

Truly Sobering Story
Revisado: 08-02-18
I started decluttering in APRIL 2018. Very first thing I noticed was that my DAILY heart burn was more manageable. I probably don't need that pill anymore
I DO REGRET some of the things I've given away thru the years. If I SEE the NEW OWNER happy with the item I have donated, then THAT makes it feel better!
Money. Yeah, that's a BIG ONE.
After MS Money was taken away, I've had to figure out what software to use, & admit that I still have not found the best.!

What does it take to make Outlander?
Revisado: 07-26-18
A whole heck of a LOT.
The backstory reminds me of the history that it took to get "The Princess Bride" on screen. And they are similar, in that both are undefinable!
Is it Romance? Drama? Comedy? Historical? Sci-fi (time travel) You just can't label it. I LOVE the book parts that have me laughing hysterically. It's simply something you cannot contain in one single movie or one single season.
I liked how this book took every single episode & talked thru what happened. And THE WEDDING... word porn for ladies from the books becomes flesh. I especially appreciated how ladies were in charge of this episode & how they detailed WHAT are the differences between what men think is sexy, and what's REALLY sexy.. And The Wedding has to be the best Episode of the whole show. It's magic. Now I know what happened to bring it to life.

Historia
Dr. Emory Charbonneau, a pediatrician and marathon runner, disappears on a mountain road in North Carolina. By the time her husband Jeff, miffed over a recent argument, reports her missing, the trail has grown cold. Literally. Fog and ice encapsulate the mountainous wilderness and paralyze the search for her. While police suspect Jeff of "instant divorce," Emory, suffering from an unexplained head injury, regains consciousness and finds herself the captive of a man whose violent past is so dark that he won't even tell her his name.

Every little thing, it's all in here.
The purchase & production notes on the series?
It's in there!
All the Questions folks ask the Author? Ditto
Typical Author's day? Yes, amazing!
Book Tours, RESEARCH, doing it all by herself because who has time to tell someone what you really want when you don't know until you see it?
Fascinating facts of imagination being reality later -- the "Dun Bonnett" was actually named Jamie Fraser. OMG.
SYNOPSIS of each book covered by this Companion? A remarkable read. I read each book, stopped, heard the synopsis, and then went on to the next.
You have to buy this book, you MUST.

Diana Gabaldon’s magnificent historical saga, begun with Outlander and Dragonfly in Amber, continues with this New York Times bestseller. Set in the intriguing Scotland of 200 years ago, the third installment in the romantic adventures of Jamie and Claire is as compelling as the first.

Revisado: 06-10-18
Before the new season starts, I wanted to listen to the whole series from the beginning, whilst also watching reruns AND simultaneously listening to the Companion.
I should have it all down pat now, eh?? It's so interesting, I've heard things I missed the first time... and of course the lovely and talented Davina Porter... She's so amazing. She stands alone as my favorite Audible Voice

08May18 After Hours and Hours of listening, it suddenly says, "The End." Your head jerks up in surprise & you gasp and laugh at the same time. What a fabulous ending. Even though it was my second listen, I learned so much more :) Aye, I did.
31May18 RE Watching the show concurrently with the Audible Books... seeing tons of changes made from the book to the screen. How had I missed those?
The voice of Davina is so CLAIRE. As is the Actress on the screen... They merge as one, along with the story.
love this series
