Title misrepresents the book
Revisado: 05-08-17
This book does not tell you "How to Excel at Math and Science" as the title suggests. It is a fairly good book for college students on how to take exams and pass courses. The intro says this is a book for everyone, at all stages of life, but it's really a book for college students. As a STEM professional myself, I was very interested in the approach, but I was disappointed in the book.

Just a list of foods - no context
Revisado: 10-09-14
This book describes the input from a variety of chefs on what would be their last meal. However, it doesn't include any information about who the chefs are. There are a few that I'm familiar with, and a few others whose names I know (but not anything else about them.) So, without any context, this was extremely boring. At first it was interesting to hear about the foods, but soon it just became repetitive. How hard would it have been to include one sentence about who the chef is, what they're famous for, where they came from, ANYTHING? Also, the list of recipes at the end was boring. Since the recipes have no connection with the part of the book where the chefs discussed them, it becomes just a list of ingredients. I put the book on double time and sped through it, in case anything interesting would come up, but no. It was really a waste of a credit. On a somewhat positive note, the narrator wasn't terrible, but she did mispronounce some foods/ingredients.

Extremely violent and implausable
Revisado: 10-27-11
I watch a lot of crime television and read a lot of crime novels, but I found this book to be objectionably violent. I could have gotten past that if the plot were good, but it was entirely implausable. I thought the characterization of the FBI agents was unrealistic. I can understand how a police lieutenant could have bad feelings about the FBI, but portraying the FBI as totally incompetent is just not realistic. Also, many the characters were over-the-top and unbelievable, such as her old partner Harry. And Jack's way of dealing with Harry was also unrealistic.

Useless without a pdf of exhibits
Revisado: 10-24-11
Constantly throughout the book he refers to the recipes or to the eating plans, which are NOT included. There should be a pdf that has those attachments, otherwise you can't try any of these principles. This was a complete waste of my money. I wish there was a way to get a refund.
