Outstanding!

I think this is my most favorite book of Kristen Hanna! It was absolutely outstanding. I am the daughter of a Vietnam vet. I’ve heard many of these stories, and it just felt so realistic how she weave the history in with the story and it was incredible. I highly recommend this for anybody I couldn’t put it down, I finished it in two days.

I didn’t expect the victim mentality!

First off, I’ve been an avid watcher of the view since day one. I have always appreciated Meghans point of you and perspective to make sure it wasn’t all one sided. As someone who constantly bulldozed the conversation and often had harsh words for her co-hosts and guests, I have always thought of Meghan as a tough cookie. But this book is full of blame on everyone who she thinks is against her. She had no ownership of her part in any of it. If this is how she really thinks then I feel very sorry for her. She has a perspective that needs to be heard, but I think she needs to get out of her own way so that people can actually hear her.

All of the stuff she writes about her father was beautiful and you do get a glimpse of what he was like as a father to her. For this alone the book is worth listening to. It’s a beautiful tribute.

But the victim vibe made me nauseous and really sad for her. Very spoiled brat vibes like the world needs to revolve around her and should understand all the things she is going through. With zero accountability for her part and zero grace or acknowledgment of what anyone else may have been going through. I hope the therapy helps her. ❤️

Outstanding!!

I read the Sky O'Malley saga years ago and loved it. I think I love the audible version even more. The narrator is OUTSTANDING!! This book is 24 hours long and I can't get enough. I'm listening every chance that I can. Please, please, please narrate the next four books in the series. I have no idea what I will do when this book is over. Thank you for bringing this story to life. So very good!

Fascinating and unbelievable!

This book was so well written! Listening to her story starting out at six years old and her parents taking on different roles and barely being able to see your family and how she grew up pretty much on her own in the SeaOrg was crazy! Even being the niece of the head guy didn’t make her path any less difficult. Fascinating read!

This book is beautiful!

I loved every second of this book! Every story was filled with love and life lessons that we all can relate to. I laughed so hard when she talked about hiking for hours. I have a 2 hour max when hiking before I have a full on toddler tantrum. So I could totally relate to her misery! I almost had to pull over the car as I laughed so hard! I LOVE that Drew read this herself. I was so sad when it was over. I hope she writes another book.

I've always been a fan of Bruce Jenner and I thought that his coming out as Caitlyn was very courageous! I'm sure that Caitlyn is absolutely paving the way for the transgender community. But in listening to this book I couldn't get over her arrogance! I almost couldn't finish the book! The way this book talked about Bruce saving the country was totally insane! I love reading biographies, I find them fascinating. But this one felt so insincere! It felt like such bullshit! Sorry!

Laughed so hard I cried!

If you are a Chelsea fan you will love this book! I listened while commuting to work and I'm sure I looked a little crazy to the other drivers since I was alone crying and laughing so hard! I highly recommend this book! This is my favorite Chelsea book so far!
