Fascinating take on the Legends

I really really enjoyed this book!
Mr. Lee did a fascinating and wonderful job blending the people we know from history into a somewhat forward in time future that isn’t looking so good for humanity as a whole.
I loved the narrator’s voice, and she did an excellent job infusing distinct personalities and ways of speaking into each character.
The plot reads like something not so far in the future- that we’re barreling towards at a breakneck pace, but which will have no helpful (semi-helpful?) Druids, knights or Kings of old to rescue us. Are we doomed without them?
I think not.
It’ll just take more work.
Kudos for a very interesting book that sometimes made me want to strangle people, but who, in the end, got out of their own way and did what needed to be done.
Would love to know if Galahaut’s tree lived.

I first discovered this far back in the days of LimeWire. I still have that CD somewhere. This has always delighted me and I love relistening to it and reliving it.
Leonard is much missed, but we still have John, and he’s a true trip. If you haven’t ever listened to this and you love Star Trek, listen to it. You’ll love it.

Nora Roberts’ books never disappoint me and this one was no exception-loves this series and am truly sorry to see it end, but happy with the ending. One of her best series ever!!

This is my favorite Stephen King book. I reread it once a year (or try to) but I’ve been doing a lot of driving for the last few months and this was a great early morning companion. Excellent performance, well worth the time it took to listen.

Rereading my favorite Brother

There are few worlds that have fascinated me as much as the world of the BDB and from the first moment I met Butch in Dark Lover, he was mine. He was the one I wanted so badly to become a Brother and find his place in their world. I read all the other books, and while I loved them, Butch was the Brother I was waiting for. It’s just as good the second time around.
My biggest caveat? Butch doesn’t have the Boston accent I hear in my head in the books. I was looking forward to that. But that’s my only one.
I will listen to this one again for sure. I’m on a roll now!

Excellent Second Installment

I generally love Nora’s books and this one was no exception. This is my second audio book and first by Ms. Whelan and I was not disappointed in the least! She does a great job separating out the voices so you know who’s speaking.
I loved this installment of The One series and I am impatient to read the next one. Love Fallon’s development and her willingness to admit when she’s wrong. Malak, Simon, Max, Lana, Duncan and Antonia grew so much!
Am I the only one who talks back to audio books? 😁
