I used this for background while playing video games. The plot is easy to follow and the voice actors are entertaining. The lich is powerful, reasonable, and far to amused by his own puns.

better than expected

I was just killing time, waiting for my other series to drop new books. I was pleasantly surprised. This is a competently written slice of life. The voice acting is excellent. I will try the next two books in the series.

The comedy is better, the plot advances! I do think this book is more inline with the first two books in the series.

there are many characters and subplots, but they are distinctive enough to keep separate. Unlike other series I don't find myself enduring an uninteresting plotline while waiting for the author to get back to the interesting characters. They all are good.

unexpected, enjoyable

I was surprised by the author's choices, how he advanced the plot. refreshing. The characters were enjoyable. Emotion was conveyed well. The Narrators (voice actors?) were excellent.
The sexual aspect of the story was a bit tame, and very little to no cursing. Yet, slavery and forced prostitution are major plot points, so I wonder what the age of the target audience is? Did the publisher meddle, trying to make the story more "safe?"
Whenever the character was indecisive, because of her lack of self worth, we got a long back and forth as she debated with herself. This was repeated far too often, Trust your readers to make assumptions, especially when it is a recurring theme.

not what I expected, where do we go from here?

I genuinely was not expecting that ending. A few loose threads, so I assume there will be another book. I guess it could end here. I just don't see why the sequel would include any "game play"

Funny, well written. the main character is one of my favorite creatures. it has some explicit scenes and language, but does not go into exhaustive detail.

the main character is not a Magnificent Bastard, just an asshole. Still, I found the story entertaining enough. I didn't like him breaking the fourth wall and insulting me, but whatever.
