Historia
A disastrous debate, a would-be assassin’s bullet, an electrifying eleventh hour candidate swap, dramatic and surprising VP selections, betrayals behind closed doors, charges of a stolen election, game-changing blunders—the history-making 2024 presidential election is a political saga of Shakespearean proportions. In minute-by-minute detail, esteemed White House historian and political analyst Chris Whipple chronicles the unprecedented drama as it unfolds.

Should Have Been Called “How The Good Guys Lost”
Revisado: 04-17-25
The material on Biden’s actions doesn’t offer much that hasn’t been revealed and his references to Trump’s issues ignored fact checks like the Charlottesville recording of what Trump actually said. Whipple also falsely claimed that the Dobbs decision stripped women of their “right” to an abortion. Whipple also offers the highly weak claim that Tim Walz was called “Tampon Tim” because of his support for women’s rights. That is a ridiculously contrived explanation that probably appears here for the first time ever. The widely known reason for that nickname is because as governor, he put tampon machines in boys’ school bathrooms to accommodate menstruating girls who identified as boys.
An author has no responsibility to one side or the other, but they should conduct sound reporting. Also, the book was promoted as an expose of the Biden campaign mistakes and misdeeds and barely was even that.

Nate Shepherd Stories Are Always Good
Revisado: 01-03-25
I liked it and it was easy to stay with but it had a major flaw in the plot. I’ve seen very few court dramas that didn’t but I still love them.

Weak Balance Between “Message” And Legal Case
Revisado: 08-04-24
I like Hunter and Jones but we all know racism is bad. That horse is all but dead. Still, the old fart bigots were pretty realistic. But I hate when the win, in a courtroom procedural is weakly stretched out over an obvious move that any good attorney should have done.

The podcaster has a very natural manner and is highly relatable. Even though I have no military ties, I still derive encouragement and motivation from his interviews.

I liked it but I think a defendant actually as backward as Logan would have been tested for diminished capacity. It was hard to listen to his dialogue.

Historia
Photographer Isla Wilson is thrilled she's landed her dream job, but the clients who hired her are getting stranger by the day. It sounded so perfect—a month's assignment at the lush Scottish Highlands property of architect Alban McGregor, and his wife, Jessica. But in the woods, there's a playhouse with a chilling history. Two years ago, the McGregors' daughter Elodie was abducted and then died in that playhouse. The townspeople insist her abductor had to be a stranger in their town. Alban refuses to knock the playhouse down, even keeping a picture of it on his wall.

Just A Necessary Story Installment
Revisado: 01-06-23
The story was good but the ending seemed like DB just couldn’t think of anything else for a dramatic climax. I also encountered the first serious weakness in one episode f his stories, that would render the whole plot invalid.
But, I was already hooked and this book does leave me anxious to see how it all works out.

Just a few awkward things
Revisado: 04-20-22
Lucy’s aggression and short fuse are not well justified in the story. Her character is unreasonably contentious and mouthy. Not plucky and defiant - just pointlessly bitchy. The story is good, with good plot points, but the characters are a little shallowly crafted.
Now, for every author and voice actor of adventure stories. People are rescued by the CAVALRY. CALVARY is the hill where Jesus was crucified. I have yet to hear an audio book that gets it straight. I don’t know if it’s the authors or the voice talent but it’s backwards.
