Slow Beginnings

It’s great to hear the first chapter of Steve Martin’s novel.
The narrator spoke slowly. Maybe too slowly. Perhaps a work around would be to play the audio at 1.5x speed.
Then there would be the issue with expression. Not much variation of tone or inflection.
Good that the audio clip were a promo download.

Generous Man Seth Godin

200+ rants by Seth Godin.

I imagine each one discussed over a meal. Some more passionate than others, some one sided, some welcome participation and action. I only wish I could ask follow up questions or add examples to further is argument.

Signature Seth - After every number read follows commentary that is distinctly Seth’s voice. Wordplay, passion, and conviction.

Don’t Skip a Step

A bit of irony. Or maybe a joke I couldn’t get to.
What’s going on with Chapter 10?
The audio skips and skips; making it impossible to follow along.
The first 9 chapters were great.
The constant skipping in the 10th ruined the performance;(
It’s not like I was jogging with my Walkman.
I hope this error can be corrected for future downloads.

Short and Meaningful

It is powerful to pair clutter with death.

It felt like Juliet and I were sitting down for tea discussing Margareta's book.
Not all of the conversation was relevant to my experiences. Regardless though, I am much wiser to have listened and shared.

If you're a fan of short stories, then you'll love Tom's writing.

What a delight!

After committing to several hours of Tom's readings, I felt rewarded when a few old characters from the first story returned.

Looking forward to more. Both Tom and Mr. Martin bring so much visual humor to their writing.

A New Classic

Poignant commentary on pop culture including tech and pop science sleep culture.
If Ms. Huffington were not editor/producer of this concept...her writing/performance of the parody, probably wouldn't have gotten this far.
Still good for a few chuckles.

There is hope

Tim wrote a great book that put me at ease about messiness.
Tim references several pop culture reference making it easy to relate stories I knew to his argument.
Nick 'the nice' Guy Smith narrates perfectly making X1 speed a comfortable pace.
I'd recommend this book to anyone who has ever pooh-poohed another's messy workspace.

It's Been Sold

Ever wonder why you have so little attention for the important things in life?

Your attention is being sold; it's been sold incrementally over the years.

Marc Cashman beautifully narrates fifteen hours of a 'brief' history of tactics and trends in advertising.

This is great book for you if you're interested in gaining control of your attention, find out where it's gone, who has taken it, and how they stole it from you. The why is money, but not for as much as you would think.
