Historia
Seth has always known that the sassy and spunky Katia is destined to be his - that they are starbound. While she goes through boyfriends like bubble gum, chewing them up and spitting them out, he stands in the shadows, unable to do anything about it, knowing he shouldn't care. Not a damn thing in his power can change their fates, and that... well, really blows, but it doesn't stop him from dreaming about her, craving her, loving her.

Very good story filled with many twists and turns. Either the narrator is off or the chapter section is off as the narrator was behind in stating chapters by two chapters.

This book is "ok" and listening to it is for a most worthwhile cause; however, you have to remember it's not a story as such just a description of the beast and a note of where they live...

Historia
My name is Kvothe. You may have heard of me. So begins a tale told from his own point of view - a story unequaled in fantasy literature. Now in The Wise Man’s Fear, Day Two of The Kingkiller Chronicle, Kvothe takes his first steps on the path of the hero and learns how difficult life can be when a man becomes a legend in his own time.

The Wise Man's Fear
Revisado: 04-11-17
This book by Rothfuss continues the story of Cloth. He is maturing, still making poor choices but in fairness to the character he faces much..tragedy, starvation, homelessness, and terrible discrimination. The book concludes well but leaves me wanting to know more...hoping there is a book three in the works.

The Name of the Wind
Revisado: 04-11-17
This book is excellent...the writing is different but the story of a young boy who faces great tragedy as even though he does well, he continues to make choices that get him into trouble. I fell in love with the character but wanted to shake him several times to make him choose better...how often do we each realize we should have made a better choice... The book ended leaving me feel that I needed more, thank goodness there was another book!

Historia
Deep below the University, there is a dark place. Few people know of it: a broken web of ancient passageways and abandoned rooms. A young woman lives there, tucked among the sprawling tunnels of the Underthing, snug in the heart of this forgotten place. Her name is Auri, and she is full of mysteries. The Slow Regard of Silent Things is a brief, bittersweet glimpse of Auri’s life, a small adventure all her own. At once joyous and haunting, this story offers a chance to see the world through Auri’s eyes.

Before you read this book, it's best you read the two books before this one as it's a short story revolving around one of the characters in the other two books. It's delightful and the author narrates it himself. I loved it as I always think of everything having feelings. The main character is broken but so am I and if you are honest with yourself there are times when you are broken. Loved this short story and look forward to Patrick's future books.

Historia
Can one boy stand between two kingdoms at war? Jaevid Broadfeather has grown up as a wartime refugee, hiding from the world because of his mixed racial heritage. He feels his future is hopeless - until a chance encounter with a wild dragon lands him in Blybrig Academy, a place usually forbidden to anyone but the rich and royal. But Jaevid's case is special; no dragon has voluntarily chosen a rider in decades, so the proud riders of Blybrig must begrudgingly let him join their brotherhood despite his bloodline.

Oh my goodness what a great book! Loved it and am excited to begin book two! This story is a wonderful well written fantasy about racial discrimination and not allowing others to define who you are. Through strength and determination, no one has to accept what others say about them; you are more than who you appear to be...be wonderful.
