Bread of Life is an amazing journey from deep sorrow to an inspirational and motivating path to complete healing. If your goal is to have a closer walk with God, this book is for you. Take a daily journey into this personally challenging, thought-provoking devotional and allow the word of God to change the way you view the world. Acts 17:27 says, God wanted people to look for him, and perhaps in searching all around for him, they would find him.

Be Sure You Download The STEREO Version! Beautiful
Revisado: 04-24-17
Where does Bread of Life rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
#1 because listening to something like this over and over again never gets old.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Bread of Life?
Every scripture passage is memorable!
What does Dorothy Deavers Moore bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She sounds like an angelic mentor called along side to comfort and guide the Christian along the journey.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I was moved pretty much by every devotional.
Any additional comments?
My wife narrated this and I composed and played the music. I am also the audio engineer for this audiobook. I'm not sure, but I believe the iTunes version is the only version in stereo. If you are able to select between mono or stereo versions, I highly recommend the stereo version as the music backing is in stereo and adds so much to the listening experience...especially through headphones.

Historia
Joe, an ugly and unloved horse, trusts no one, and no one trusts him. Until Vicky. This is the story of a troubled horse and the little girl who loves him. Based on the true adventures of the author's childhood 50 years ago, Joe teaches the lesson that sometimes beauty is not skin deep, but heart deep. That the unloved have much to show us about the true nature of love.

Very enjoyable true story about love and horses.

If you could sum up Joe - the Horse Nobody Loved in three words, what would they be?
A fun ride
What did you like best about this story?
The author's writing style is honest, comical at times, and the story is a candid recollection of an interesting childhood growing up around horses.
What does Dorothy Deavers bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Dorothy read the story as if she had written it herself. I felt she was delivering exactly what the author had hoped for. I enjoyed the laughs and the tears. Dorothy delivers quite the performance which becomes wonderfully emotional at times.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It made me laugh and cry. And best of all, it stayed with me for days afterward. I can't look at a horse anywhere now without thinking of "joe."
Any additional comments?
I was the audio engineer for the narrator Dorothy Deavers on this project. We enjoyed producing this book so much and it is one of our favorites. There were times I couldn't see the controls because of the tears flowing during the recording process. We had to stop and restart several times because the story is so touching. It was also a very, very, nice experience working with Vicky. It's easy to understand why Joe liked her. :)

Superb!

What did you love best about Know Peace Within?
The honesty, the message, and the humility of the author and the spirit with which the narrator narrated.
What other book might you compare Know Peace Within to and why?
Many of Mr. Harris' spiritual observations remind me of Charles Spurgeon's writing. Mr. Harris has a keen ability to employ potent words that communicate powerfully and beautifully the spiritual truths found in God's Word.
What does Dorothy Deavers bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Not only am I the audio engineer on this project, but Dorothy Deavers is my fiance, so of course, I love everything about her beautiful voice! But, one thing that I feel sets her apart from most other female narrators I've heard is her raw emotion. Clearly, the same Spirit that moved Mr. Harris to write this book was the same Spirit working through Dorothy while narrating it.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Go from NO peace within to KNOW peace within!
Any additional comments?
As the audio engineer on this project, I must say Mr. Harris' writing moved us deeply. We thoroughly enjoyed recording this as it was superbly written, Spirit-filled, and it ministered to our hearts. Like King David, L. David Harris is clearly a man after God's own heart. Having corresponded back and forth with Mr. Harris on this project I can testify that he is one of the most genuine Christian men I have ever met and that genuine Spirit comes across so well in his writing. Mr. Harris has a way with words. He chooses them carefully and he is skilled at using them powerfully in this book. I highly recommend, not only this book by L. David Harris, but any book by this author! One thing that touched me greatly, was when Mr. Harris was interviewed on a Christian broadcast he was asked, "So, David, after Jesus came into your life, how did your life change?" He replied, "One of the things that was evident immediately was that I learned to smile." <------ There's so much in that statement when Jesus is in it! And that's what I love about David's writing. His words are simple, yet very potent! "I learned to smile", as simple as that may sound, frankly, is one of the most profound and delightful theological truths I've ever heard from a repentant believer. This book, whether in hardcopy form, audio, or whatever, will be a blessing to anyone in their search for peace within.
