In The Four Agreements, don Miguel Ruiz reveals the source of self-limiting beliefs that rob us of joy and create needless suffering. Love these concepts! It does not match my edition…
Revisado: 08-12-24
I greatly appreciate the wisdom and practical concepts presented in each agreement, which are both insightful and transformative. However, I was disappointed with the audiobook version of The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom A Toltec Wisdom Book by Don Miguel Ruiz. The version I purchased, which I expected to match my physical copy, unfortunately left out several sections of the text. This made it difficult to follow along as the audiobook frequently skipped parts of the book, leaving me confused and frustrated while trying to read along. I'm not sure why this discrepancy exists, but it detracted from the overall experience.

Historia
Is someone else's problem your problem? If, like so many others, you've lost sight of your own life in the drama of tending to a loved one’s self-destructive behavior, you may be codependent—and you may find yourself in this book. With personal reflections, exercises, and instructive stories drawn from Beattie’s own life and the lives of those she’s counseled, Codependent No More helps you break old patterns and maintain healthy boundaries, and offers a clear and achievable path to healing, hope, freedom, and happiness.

We aren’t called to be everything for everyone
Revisado: 01-26-23
Absolutely loved the talk about attachment versus detachment. Attachment (obsessively attached to the persons situation)… we become so attached to something or someone else that we become detached from ourselves, and lose a lot of our capacity/ability/power. Love the concept of not being blown about by every wind, which reminds me about loving God and loving others with the appropriate boundaries and realizing that I cannot and shall not be everything for everyone especially one that could put a deficit in my relationship with my wife. This is such a great read to build awareness and use the tools Melody Beattie presents
