Historia
There is a small town in Oregon called Middle Falls. When people die there, one of three things happens to them: They pass on to what is next. They are recycled to an earlier point in their life. They become spirits who are tethered to the spot where they died. This is the story of a tethered spirit.

Historia
In upstate New York, in the woods around Woodstock, Dutchman's Creek flows out of the Ashokan Reservoir. Steep-banked, fast-moving, it offers the promise of fine fishing, and of something more, a possibility too fantastic to be true. When Abe and Dan, two widowers who have found solace in each other's company and a shared passion for fishing, hear rumors of the Creek, and what might be found there, the remedy to both their losses, they dismiss it as just another fish story.

Historia
“You like it darker? Fine, so do I,” writes Stephen King in the afterword to this magnificent new collection of twelve stories that delve into the darker part of life—both metaphorical and literal. King has, for half a century, been a master of the form, and these stories, about fate, mortality, luck, and the folds in reality where anything can happen, are as rich and riveting as his novels, both weighty in theme and a huge pleasure to digest.

Finally a new book without the politics
Revisado: 07-16-24
I really enjoyed this book, which was a relief from the politics that plague many of his recent books. I've always loved this author but have had to step away over the past few years due to King's hatred for certain political figures. He admits in the afterwords that his wife has had input fueling this obsession which is disheartening to say the least. I don't care what King thinks or feels about politics or political figures, I just want to enjoy his fiction. He appears to be unable to separate the two. In this book it's significantly less obvious, and I like that. Perhaps King is allowing the curmudgeon to take over.

Historia
One ordinary winter afternoon on a snowy island, Anders and Cecilia take their sixyearold daughter Maja across the ice to visit the lighthouse in the middle of the frozen channel. While the couple explore the lighthouse, Maja disappears - either into thin air or under thin ice - leaving not even a footprint in the snow. Two years later, alone and more or less permanently drunk, Anders returns to the island to regroup. He slowly realizes that people are not telling him all they know....

a great 2nd part to this trilogy
Revisado: 10-29-22
I really enjoyed the first book of this trilogy, and the second definitely didn't disappoint. I'm not generally into these fantasy type books, and I'm not sure how they ended up in my library. But 10 minutes into the first book has me committed to all 3. I find myself wanting to get back to listening all through the day, which generally only happens when I'm in a Stephen King book. great book!

Historia
The cozy little town of Pine Deep buried the horrors of its past a long time ago. Thirty years have gone by since the darkness descended and the Black Harvest began, a time when a serial killer sheared a bloody swath through the quiet Pennsylvania village. The evil that once coursed through Pine Deep has been replaced by cheerful tourists getting ready to enjoy the country’s largest Halloween celebration in what is now called “The Spookiest Town in America.”

Historia
Stephen King returns to the characters and territory of one of his most popular novels ever, The Shining, in this instantly riveting novel about the now middle-aged Dan Torrance (the boy protagonist of The Shining) and the very special 12-year-old girl he must save from a tribe of murderous paranormals. This is an epic war between good and evil, a gory, glorious story that will thrill the millions of hyper-devoted fans of The Shining and wildly satisfy anyone new to the territory of this icon in the King canon.
