Historia
The resurgence of viral clips from the long-running hit reality television show America’s Next Top Model left fans and foes alike wondering–how did a show so outrageous and at times offensive ever get on the air? For years, Americans dutifully watched as contestants faced uncomfortable situations regarding their race and gender, body-shaming, stereotyping, and problematic photoshoots. The show, which first premiered in 2003 and ran for 24 cycles, was helmed by supermodel Tyra Banks–the first Black female host of a smash network reality show.

So good!

I loved how this podcast showed the good and the not so good of Top Model. It was also a walk down memory lane with additional tea spilled.

I almost gave up. It was too dramatic, kind of cliche... but they got an all star cast so I kept going. The last 3/4 of the performance was Sooooo good!

Revisado: 06-28-22
All I can say is: Bingley. Why on earth would you write a character like that? So annoying! And I guess I should give the VA credit because she was equally annoying with his voice.

Dark. Heavy. Not in a good way...
Revisado: 10-21-14
Has The Murder Complex turned you off from other books in this genre?
No. But I need to be invested in these characters. Otherwise, why subject yourself to the dark heaviness of the story?
Did the narration match the pace of the story?
Sure. Some exaggerated "sinister" voices, but I guess that's what they wanted. Those poor narrators must have been so depressed with this!
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Serious disappointment. Where is the hope? Who should I root for? Even the lovey dovey scenes were dark!

For over 20 years, Belasco House has stood empty. Regarded as the Mt. Everest of haunted houses, its shadowed walls have witnessed scenes of unimaginable horror and depravity. All previous attempts to probe its mysteries have ended in murder, suicide, or insanity.

A wealthy publisher, brooding over his impending death, has paid a physicist and two mediums to establish the facts of life after death once and for all. I'm more of a Haunting of Hill House kind of girl.
Revisado: 10-15-14
Would you try another book from Richard Matheson and/or Ray Porter?
Love Ray Porter!
What could Richard Matheson have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Just not my cup of tea. Ending was a cop out.
What about Ray Porter’s performance did you like?
His voices are so distinct! Never confused.
Any additional comments?
I'm sure for some this book rocked. It was just not for me.

Historia
The Incrementalists - a secret society of 200 people with an unbroken lineage reaching back 40,000 years. They cheat death, share lives and memories, and communicate with one another across nations, races, and time. They have an epic history, an almost magical memory, and a very modest mission: to make the world better, just a little bit at a time. Their ongoing argument about how to do this is older than most of their individual memories. Phil, whose personality has stayed stable through more incarnations than anyone else’s, has loved Celeste - and argued with her - for most of the last 400 years.

Audible Reviewers, I'll never doubt you again!
Revisado: 10-15-14
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Ray Porter and Mary Robinette Kowal ?
Any narrator(s) that can be on the same page! One character from one narrator has some sort of sophisticated European accent and the same character from the other narrator has her as an old Granny. How can you possibly keep it straight and better yet, take it seriously? Why did no one point this out?
What character would you cut from The Incrementalists?
Because this story was about big ideas and wasn't broken down for the rest of us, I felt nothing for these characters.
Any additional comments?
There were too many ideas in this book. It's a great concept, but poorly constructed. I never felt invested in these characters. The narration ruined it, and I'm actually a fan of both these voice actors! So disappointing. I should have listened to the reviews. I'll be requesting a refund.

Stunning conclusion!
Revisado: 02-08-14
Would you listen to Ignite Me again? Why?
Oh yes. So well written, such good vocal work, such a wonderful turn and redemption for the characters!
What was one of the most memorable moments of Ignite Me?
Oh all the steamy moments between Juliette and Warner. And Juliette's evolution. Sooooo good!
Which character – as performed by Kate Simses – was your favorite?
My darling Kenji. What a great character.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I cheered for the ending! I want more!

Narrator makes this unbearable!
Revisado: 02-08-14
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
A different narrator. Her voices are terrible. It's almost like she's mocking the characters.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Terrible voices. Her main man is Russian and talks a lot. Don't you think you would want to perfect the accent? It was painful. The supporting characters have a dopey tone. Why didn't someone fix this in the studio?
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointment.
Any additional comments?

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!
Revisado: 12-31-13
If you could sum up Super In The City in three words, what would they be?
Crazy Good. Yes.
What did you like best about this story?
Zephyr! Best heroine ever. Better than Carrie in Sex and the City. Funny, odd, caring, crazy, the kind of girl I'd want to hang out with!
What about Emily Janice Card’s performance did you like?
Her really solid voices. There wasn't a question abut who was talking. Lovely French accent, which can be painful if done wrong.
If you could take any character from Super In The City out to dinner, who would it be and why?
Zephyr! We would have such a good time gossiping about everything!
Any additional comments?
This was such a crazy story. I laughed so much, which is worth five stars alone. Add in all the unique characters and you have a hit. I really loved the Sterling Girls and of course Gregory. Give this book a listen. You will love it!

No and I think that's the problem. The book was just OK. Not very special, not horrible. I didn't hate it and I didn't love it.
