The best of the best erotic collections

This has been the best in erotic collections. The stories are novel and on taboo subject not frequently covered. Many of the stories gave unique perspectives of both men and women. Highly recommended.

Some stories okay, some silly and immature; stilted and silly, at least one of the narrators was do stilted that she ruined whatever story read.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

No. The book was not entertainment and it was not informative. The title sounds like a first hand account. And from the publishers description, I assumed that the book was close to an actual account but "fictionalized" and maybe broadened. It is not. The extent of the author's "research" seems to have been the reading of accounts on the internet and listening to a documentary on television. I had hoped to get an account based on actual events and to thereby obtain deeper insight. I learned nothing more from listening to this book than what anyone that has read a few news articles does not already know. So, it failed as a source of information. It also failed as an interesting story. Characters and events were not sufficiently developed to make for an interesting story or to develop any real bond or understanding with/of the characters. The supposed author of the book was from a small, poor, town in Moldovia. The main character was taught English from books by her father. It was highly unbelievable that she would have had the vocabulary and richness of expression represented in the book. This was a major disconnect that distracted from the believability of the story.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

The performance would have been good for another book and setting. However, the reading was too animated and energized to represent a woman dehumanized by trafficking.

No

Not recommended as fiction and not recommended as a source of information on trafficking. The book is not entertainig and is not educational enough to warrant the time listening.

A great story marred by grating mispronunciations

Would you listen to Seraffyn's Mediterranean Adventure again? Why?

No. I enjoyed it very much, but I have no reason to listen to it again. If anything, I would buy the book so that I could highlight specific locations and situations.

What three words best describe Clara Harris’s performance?

This would have been a great performance. You could really believe that it was Lin Pardey speaking except for the glaring mispronunciations of foreign locations and nautical and boating terms. I am surprised that Clara Harris did not take the time to learn the correct pronunciation of these terms and places.

Any additional comments?

If you car considering a life of cruising, or even an extended cruise, this is worth listening too. However, it is worth listening to for a vicarious experience as well.

Would you consider the audio edition of Of Foreign Build to be better than the print version?

No, because the delivery is so stilted.

A really great story and a must read for first time long distance cruisers and circumnavigators. A "must read".
