Rereading *Left Behind* was a nostalgic journey that reaffirmed why this novel captivated me the first time around. LaHaye and Jenkins expertly weave a gripping narrative that explores the complexities of faith, redemption, and the tribulations that follow the Rapture.

The characters are richly developed, making their struggles and triumphs feel profoundly relatable. The authors craft a world fraught with tension and urgency, immersing readers in the chaotic aftermath of the Rapture. Each page draws you deeper into the moral dilemmas faced by those left behind, skillfully blending suspense with profound themes of belief and perseverance.

What struck me this time was the timelessness of its message. In an era where fear and uncertainty loom large, *Left Behind* serves as a poignant reminder of hope and resilience. The vivid storytelling and meticulous attention to detail make for an exhilarating read that not only entertains but also invites deep reflection.

If you're looking for a tale that combines thrilling narrative with spiritual exploration, *Left Behind* is as compelling now as it was on first read. Highly recommended for both first-time readers and those revisiting this classic in the genre of speculative fiction.

Excellent storyline in the continuation of an awesome series. Jim Powell and family can finally breathe or can they?

The book picks up directly after The Death Dealer's Manual and starts in a place of turmoil, at least on the part of self-proclaimed President Lightspeed. After forgetting to include the military in his plans, Lightspeed finds himself and his crew at the whim of the military. Either his plan will unravel, leading to his team's death, or Lightspeed will make history. For Conor Maguire and "his family," this book had so many ins and outs, so many stories within a story that the reader is always on the edge of their seats. Though this is the 8th book in the series and could be the end....there is always hope for more.

The Mad Mick series keeps getting better and better. "The Death Dealer's Manual should really be a movie. The suspense is riveting. The characters are believable. And the entire book will have you tip toeing around corners, hoping the heroes make it out. You'll find yourself asking, will everyone make it home?

The six book in the saga of Conor Maguire is definitely ultraviolent. Starting off after the failed mission of book 6, "Ultraviolent" does an amazing job of establishing new relationships in the ever present arena of survival in this post-terrorist riddled environment. One of those new relationships is Jim Powell from "The Borrowed World" saga. Ultraviolent is an awesome read.

"Punching Tickets" was actually better than the previous book in The Mad Mick series if that can be said at all. All the books so far have been spellbinding, keep you on the edge of your seat narratives. And although someone in "the family" doesn't fair well in this story, the account never misses a beat, forging ahead into the dangers of living in this apocalyptic time period. I certainly hope the next books lives up to its predecessor.

In the continuing saga of the Mad Mick saga, Northern Sun paints our hero, Conor Maguire, in a different light than before. Yes, he is still the necessary destructive force in a world that seems lost because of apocalyptic forces, but a softer side is beginning to emerge with the story of something new being birthed in his and his daughter Barb's lives. Something no one anticipates.

This was definitely an excellent continuation of the Mad Mick series. Conor Maguire is doing what he does best . . . plan, strategize, and remove the threat. He and his "family" of "do good-ers" protect the area from hostiles. He is in rare Mad Mick form. I am looking forward to Book 4.

I just couldn't put this down especially when the Mad Mick went searching for his daughter. Incredible story and incredible narration by Kevin Pierce. Mr. Horton created awesome scenarios that blended well into the next thought in the story. I'm definitely reading the next book in this saga.

The Mad Mick has not let me down! The first book and now this second book keeps you on the edge of your seat hoping for good outcomes. Sometimes its torturously heartbreaking if one of the mainstays comes to a harrowing moment of pain, but in the end, sometimes the very end, good or near good (lol) prevails.
