Historia
This is the story of a man who said that he would stop the motor of the world - and did. Is he a destroyer or a liberator? Why does he fight his hardest battle not against his enemies, but against the woman he loves? Tremendous in scope, breathtaking in its suspense, Atlas Shrugged is Ayn Rand's magnum opus and launched an ideology and a movement. With the publication of this work in 1957, Rand gained an instant following and became a phenomenon.

Where is John Galt?
Revisado: 10-24-18
He’s somewhere in Colorado buying all of the hay bales around for his endless stream of straw man arguments.
Rand lays out a dystopian world where the titans of the country go on strike due to many factors including nationalizing their industries. This also gives her a chance to lay out her ludicrous philosophy. In Rand’s world and in Shrugged, everything is black and white. She sets up views of the ‘academics’ that are ridiculous, then the hero’s of the book bravely take them apart by using reason. If only the author used reason when setting up her viewpoints from the ‘looters’ she would have seen how simple and unfounded those viewpoints are. But then her hero’s wouldn’t have won. Looters and producers...over and over again. If you aren’t producing then you must be demanding that everyone else carry you. She leaves out several large portions of society thereby leaving them in limbo.
Rand claims through one of her characters that the worst sin one can commit is to not think. I agree. Her fans and the people who view this book as a representation of the real word are committing that sin. And basing their viewpoints on this book! Help!
