Historia
Across the country women are being murdered by a killer who leaves no evidence, no fatal wounds, no signs of struggle, and no clues to a motive. They are, truly, perfect crimes. In fact, the only thing that links the victims is the man they all knew: Jack Reacher.

Disappointing
Revisado: 03-29-24
First the different voices of the FBI agents were absolutely ridiculous and hard to listen to. Then their questioning and stupid questions about 2 incidents they had zero proof…to add insult, Reacher is supposedly a 13 year MP Cop and he has to PROVE HE IS INNOCENT?
No cop treats other cops like this…stupid story line to begin with and since when does FBI deal with state crime…total bunch of BS!

Way too much detail
Revisado: 03-15-24
I’m a huge Reacher fan and what struck me as unnecessary was the amount of wasted time and words that were used in describing things. I get that you want the reader to be able to envision the events, but going into detail about the different bullets travel by hundredths of seconds just drew the book out. The author has the best combat guy and yet he could have killed the lead guy and never did till the end.
The last issue I had was with the voice…too many voices were similar and took away from the story. Get Scott Brick…he can tell a story!

Historia
May 1914. Two diplomats hurry home by sea and rail, each carrying a document of world-changing importance. Then the liner Empress of India is sunk in a collision, and the Manhattan-Line express plunges from a bridge - both dragging their VIP passengers to watery oblivion. Tragic coincidence or conspiracy? In the energy-starved, fear-torn 1980s, Dirk Pitt discovers that those long-lost papers could destroy whole nations, throwing him into his biggest challenge yet.

Not a very dramatic story
Revisado: 11-23-23
Typical story line…a bad guy who is so deadly and so trained that he not only is a militia expert he also can somehow make himself look identical to a politician that even his wife didn’t know?
Ask any woman and they will tell you there is no way a foreign person would make love identical to their real husband…Cussler made a habit of painting his characters too good, or evil as needed…but of course only until Dirk can somehow see thru the fake bad guy…again very predictable and far fetched.

Too many story lines
Revisado: 10-23-23
Funny how a congressman can black mail a single congresswoman over pictures taken of two single people?? Exactly what was the angle…from a plane sunken with mass destruction gases in it to a African civil war…very disappointing to hear not only the disrespect towards women but the constant cliches…far fetched once again

Revisado: 08-21-23
How does a foe do research on attack plans of a secret group? How do micro fly’s get complete top secret plans of the infamous Oregan 3? Way too predictable, first a foe knows everything only for the favorite characters to somehow come back and win the day…idiots one minute, invincible the next…just like the last 3 novels…Disappointed to say the least! Historia
In this eagerly awaited follow-up to The Lion's Game, John Corey, former NYPD Homicide detective and special agent for the Anti-Terrorist Task Force, is back. And, unfortunately for Corey, so is Asad Khalil, the notorious Libyan terrorist otherwise known as "The Lion." Last we heard from him, Khali had claimed to be defecting to the US only to unleash the most horrific reign of terrorism ever to occur on American soil. While Corey and his partner, FBI agent Kate Mayfield, chased him across the country, Khalil methodically eliminated his victims one by one and then disappeared without a trace.

Too far fetched
Revisado: 07-07-23
After listening to the first four books, this one leaves me disappointed…after 9/11, Muslim terrorist not only knows where to find every person but also knows the hobbies of the agents & takes them while parachuting? Cmon!
Typical…genius for most of book then of course hero comes back to kill said genius- this guy has killed hundreds and yet he makes it back to the states for revenge? Far fetched indeed!

Historia
Dirk Pitt, the director of the National Underwater and Marine Agency, is on the Black Sea, helping to locate a lost Ottoman shipwreck, when he responds to an urgent Mayday - "under attack!" - from a nearby freighter. But when he and his colleague, Al Giordino, arrive, there is nobody there. Just dead bodies, a smell of sulfur in the air, and, as Pitt and Giordino explore, a blast from the stern that scuttles the ship swiftly, almost taking them with it.

Finger prints, facial rec…you know like the average person has today?? Different adventure, yet predictable actions…

Revisado: 02-27-23
Every NUMA or Oregon Files book contain 2 for sure plots- first is Government computers ALWAYS GET HACKED- & The Star gets captured every time…only to be saved at the end.
When will someone come up with an original twist? If NUMA & Dirk/Kurt are so awesome, why are they fooled so easily? The enemy could kill them immediately…yet never do?

Exciting story- over the top plots and capabilities
Revisado: 02-10-21
I love Clive and Scott Brick and have read many many stories. As expected the Oregon crew is over the top agents who can’t be beat- however there always seems to be a point where the villain can be and would be killed or beaten...yet there are innocent people right there and Cabrillo has to abort?? Everyone knows you never give in to terrorists yet Capt Cabrillo does...I won’t get into how unrealistic some of the plot stories are...I understand how hard it is to come up with stories however if the Oregon crew is so good...would they really underestimate anything...then suddenly figure it out?
No matter what I will listen to the next and next because I love the crews...Oregon team is great, Isaac Bell is my favorite...still not hooked on NUMA or Dirk yet...the announcer is so important - SCOTT BRICK SHOULD BE THE ONLY READER FOR CUSSLER EVER!
