Historia
Mr Fitzwilliam Darcy has a secret. The letter he presented to Miss Elizabeth Bennet after his ghastly proposal is not the only epistle he has written her. In this tale of longing, misadventure, and love, Jane Austen’s dearly loved Pride and Prejudice, is readapted as our hero has learned a powerful way of coping with his attraction to Miss Bennet. He writes her letters. The misguided suitor has declared himself, and Elizabeth Bennet has refused him, most painfully.

what Happened?
Revisado: 04-08-20
Two distinctly different novel are interposed in this book and Leaving me very confused. The novel will have a few pages of one, and then take off on the story line of the other. I am guessing this is just poor editing. One of the stories is just dropped without explanation.

The book was tolerable, but they cried to much!
Revisado: 04-17-17
Would you consider the audio edition of The Laughter of Love to be better than the print version?
I only listened to the audio book and I have enjoyed all three books. The eyes of all the women were continually "brimming with tears, glistening with tears and otherwise filling with tears" and it became distracting and somewhat humorous after three books.
Any additional comments?
Although the crying, glistening, and tearing eyes was distracting I enjoyed the series.

Fell in love with Eve again!
Revisado: 02-11-17
Would you listen to Echoes in Death again? Why?
I will listen to Echoes again. I did not feel that way after the last book, but this reminds me again why I love this series.
What other book might you compare Echoes in Death to and why?
I don't feel there is a comparison, but this book had much more layers than some of the other books and while some of the main characters were missing they were not important to the story.
What does Susan Ericksen bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Susan Ericksen as Eve makes a definite picture in my mind of a strong intelligent woman overcoming her damaged past to finally love and accept love.

Historia
Lizzy Bennett always told herself she was too busy for love, especially since she was working full-time as a nurse at Meryton Medical Center and helping to care for her young niece. When her sister, Jane, catches the attention of young medical resident Dr. Charlie Bingley, she does everything she can to help her sister find happiness - even if it means enduring the presence of Charlie's arrogant friend, Dr. William Darcy.

No emotional investment in the characters,
Revisado: 06-01-16
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I love P&P variations, so will usually read anything available, however I don't remember ever yelling "oh good grief" and rolling my eyes so many times.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
This is the first time I have read a modern P&P story so I was hoping.
Could you see First Impressions: A Modern Retelling of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
The script would need more something. I never felt that Lizzie and Darcy really even cared about each other.
Any additional comments?
I wanted to love this book but had to restart a half dozen times, I kept falling asleep.

Historia
What if... Lizzy, as she gets to know Darcy, finds him undeniably attractive and her impulses win out over her sense of propriety? What if... Madly in love and mutually on fire, their passion anticipates their wedding? And little by little, Elizabeth begins to find the man she thought she despised, irresistible....

the book was of the genre I am hooked on at this time but I kept waiting for something to "happen" and it seldom did.
