Historia
Raj Rajaratnam, the respected founder of the iconic hedge fund Galleon Group, which managed seven billion dollars and employed 180 people in its heyday, chose to go to trial rather than concede to a false narrative concocted by ambitious prosecutors looking for a scapegoat for the 2008 financial crisis. Naively perhaps, Rajaratnam had expected to get a fair hearing in court. Uneven Justice is the story of his bewildering and confounding prosecution by forces who, quite frankly, were looking for bigger game.

MUST READ
Revisado: 03-26-23
This is a spectacular book about the witch hunt against one man on Wall Street, and an amazing courage of the author and his family. It is a scathing indictment of the political corruption that is occurring in our country.

MUST READ for everyone Navy
Revisado: 01-28-23
Even as a history buff and retired Navy Senior Officer, I never had heard the amazing detail and courage of so many Sailors. Having been the OOD at sea, I could imagine the massive chaos and complexity of these many battles in fog and constant explosions and fires, the courage of the men trying to fight fires and still trying to fight the enemy to the last. So many men whose courage I greatly admire, and whose sacrifices turned the tide of the war. The atom bomb is often given credit for ending the war, but without these thousands of amazing men and their courage under fire, we would never have gotten to the end. I wish i could send a personal thank you note to the surviving relatives of everyone who served there. This is the Navy that I am so admiring of, and that I aspired to during my service. Amazing detail by the author gives you an inside look as if you were in the engine room when the men were fighting fires and flooding!

How did Fidel Castro fool the CIA for a generation? Why did Neville Chamberlain think he could trust Adolf Hitler? Why are campus sexual assaults on the rise? Do television sitcoms teach us something about the way we relate to each other that isn't true? While tackling these questions, Malcolm Gladwell was not solely writing a book for the page. He was also producing for the ear. In the audiobook version of Talking to Strangers, you’ll hear the voices of people he interviewed - scientists, criminologists, military psychologists.

Great disappointment-tangent after tangent
Revisado: 03-12-20
What a disappointment, his first book was amazing, but this one went off into very long, odd tangents. Seemed like he was trying to make political statements of totally unrelated topics and tie them into the original theme. He jumped around from case to case, leaving us frequently asking what on earth does this have to do with anything. Also seemed to sensationalize with biased perspective in order to further political agendas. Sadly, I won't read any more of his books.

Historia
Millions of people have thrilled to best-selling authors Bill O'Reilly and historian Martin Dugard's Killing Kennedy and Killing Lincoln, works of nonfiction that have changed the way we view history. Now the anchor of The O'Reilly Factor details the events leading up to the murder of the most influential man in history: Jesus of Nazareth. Nearly 2,000 years after this beloved and controversial young revolutionary was brutally killed by Roman soldiers, more than 2.2 billion human beings attempt to follow his teachings and believe he is God.

Revisado: 11-05-19
This book was like listening to a trashy tabloid. I definitely thought it was disrespectful to Jesus's story in every way. Absolutely do not recommend it.

Historia
Bloody Sunday was the worst massacre of British citizens by British troops since Peterloo in 1819 - a potent distillation of the rage and anguish of a bitter conflict that spanned decades and claimed three and a half thousand lives. In 2002, when the Saville Inquiry transferred from Derry to London, author Douglas Murray began attending daily to hear at firsthand the testimony of the soldiers and members of the IRA who had been there that dreadful day.

Amazing book!
Revisado: 09-04-16
Amazing account of the complexities of this type of conflict-there are no winners. Years later, it becomes almost impossible to determine who fired at who, who fired first, who was "justified" and who not, how memory is so reconstructive, and why people are often so afraid to come forward and report what they saw--or what they thought they saw.

Historia
Four US Navy SEALS departed one clear night in early July 2005 for the mountainous Afghanistan-Pakistan border for a reconnaissance mission. Their task was to document the activity of an al Qaeda leader rumored to have a small army in a Taliban stronghold. Five days later, only one of those Navy SEALS made it out alive. This is the story of the only survivor of Operation Redwing, SEAL team leader Marcus Luttrell, and the extraordinary firefight that led to the largest loss of life in American Navy SEAL history.

Historia
When people think of the Holocaust, they think of Auschwitz, of Dachau; and when they think of justice for this terrible chapter in history, they think of Nuremberg. Not of Russia or the Ukraine, and certainly not a town called Kharkov. But in reality, the first war-crimes trial against the Nazis was in this idyllic, peaceful Ukrainian city, which is fitting, because it is also where the Holocaust actually began.

Historia
From 1999 to 2009, U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle recorded the most career sniper kills in United States military history. The Pentagon has officially confirmed more than 150 of Kyles kills (the previous American record was 109), but it has declined to verify the astonishing total number for this book. Iraqi insurgents feared Kyle so much they named him al-Shaitan ("the devil") and placed a bounty on his head.

Great man but the book is grade school writing
Revisado: 04-02-16
The narrator's bad English, slang and mispronunciations were very distracting. But there was no plot or skill put into writing the book. His editors should have given him a better team to help write his story. The very poor quality of the writing seems like an insult to am American hero.

Historia
The harrowing, true account from the brave men on the ground who fought back during the Battle of Benghazi. 13 Hours presents, for the first time ever, the true account of the events of September 11, 2012, when terrorists attacked the US State Department Special Mission Compound and a nearby CIA station called the Annex in Benghazi, Libya. A team of six American security operators fought to repel the attackers and protect the Americans stationed there. Those men went beyond the call of duty, performing extraordinary acts of courage and heroism.
