Not about Capt. James T. Kirk but a great book
Revisado: 06-09-10
I am a William Shatner fan, so I loved the book. Star Trek plays a small part in his biography but a big part in his life. I liked the honest look at his struggles and the joys he has found along the way. His work ethic alone is worth reading about. Thanks Mr. Shatner for giving us a detailed look into your life, both the triumphs and tragedies.

Historia
In this eye-opening audiobook, New York Times science writer Gina Kolata shows that our society's obsession with dieting and weight loss is less about keeping trim and staying healthy than about money, power, trends, and impossible ideals. Rethinking Thin is at once an account of the place of diets in American society and a provocative critique of the weight-loss industry.

Not a diet book but a NON diet book
Revisado: 06-09-10
This book is the best book I have ever listened to about diets and science. The book goes into detail about the modern myths and how little science knows about trying to loose weight. How many of the popular diets came about is shocking and how little science has gone into them. It is a must read because you learn it is lifestyle not BMI that determines your quality of life. BRAVO!!

Quite simply it works, that is the bottom line.
Revisado: 05-12-10
I followed the suggestions in the book to the letter and it works. A simple formula that once made a part of you life makes a big difference. Excercise yes common sense, loose weight yes and the cocktail (no pun intended) of herbs and supliments in the right doses? Who would have known. Most of the herbs now come prepackaged together. So if your actually a na sayer, did you actually try it? 5 medications and a diabetic I really needed something to help me out and the perscription versions for E.D. were just too expensive. This fixed the problem.

Historia
In this terrifying and hilarious prequel, we witness the genesis of the zombie plague in early 19th-century England. We watch Elizabeth Bennet evolve from a nave young teenager into a savage slayer of the undead. We laugh as she begins her first clumsy training with nunchucks and katana swords and cry when her first blush with romance goes tragically awry.

Fun with Zombies
Revisado: 05-12-10
This book is great fun. The reader was perfect for the style. A great tongue and cheek satire of Pride and Predudice. Don't worry if you have not read Pride and Prejudice you will still get it. My suggestion read this book then watch Pride and Prejudice the movie.

Historia
On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester's Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener's hand is severed as "the dome" comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when - or if - it will go away.

Long but a great story.
Revisado: 04-19-10
I am a Stephen King fan so this was a natural for me. What was not a natural was the length, this is a long book but worth every second. I loved the character development. It felt like walking tall (movie) meets the twilight zone. An excellent read worth the time. I have quite a large library of books from audible being a member since 2005 and listening to 2 to 3 books per month. This is the first time I have written a review.

Not geared to married men.
Revisado: 12-27-05
This book is about what's the matter with you and her. Written for single men who don't get it. This book is NOT a book about romance, it is a Woman's view whats wrong with men. The title should be retitled "How to build the perfect guy". There are some good tips but not really about romantic tips.
