This was the biggest collection of zombie stories, I recommend it to all horror fans. The "Night of the living dead" zombie stories are my favorite but the voodoo and Haitian zombies were interesting.. Please do yourself a favor and grab this anthology and hold on tight!

Stephen King has done it again. Great story..

I love this novel, its in depth storytelling by the master. 11/22/63 is awesomely character driven, heartfelt, and will put the reader (listener) on the very edge of their seat.. I've read the novel twice and listened to the audio book three times.. Not since Under the Dome have I felt so close to a character..

Had a great time with this book, as soon as I finished it. I immediately bought the next in the series. Haven't started it yet. Still have about4 hrs. on the book I'm struggling to finish now. enjoy constant listener..

Must have for "Night of the living dead" fan..

This was not a surprise, very good and horrifyingly mind bending. With stories from the masters: Romero, Matheson, Mayberry, not to mention some of the absolute greats of the past30 yrs. Stories that will chill anyone to the bone. Completely worth the time and if anyone thinks the living dead is all there are to fear. Think again.. "A notebook found in a house in the woods" breaks new ground in this collection. I literally couldn't fall asleep without finishing it. So anyone who loves Romero, The living dead, and major twists and turns regarding the flesh eaters. This is a must have, so do not let the undead shamble up behind you. Collect this wonder, and hit them straight on, face first, with something to collapse a skull. Trust me, you'll have the nightmares that the original "Night of the Living Dead" erected in your youth.. A Must Have!!! Plus, authors notes between each story.. shut yourself in, board up the windows and don't make a sound... They're among us...

Didn't expect to fall so derp into this yarn!

The beginning was honestly offputting, but I stuck with it until the first 30 minutes had passed, and I fell in love with Kings main, hell, only character. it's amazing how the one character has so many dark and memorable voices, fighting to gain the main foothold in the front of her brain. I instantly despised Gerald and was shocked at the series of events that befell him. His long suffering wife, who I could honestly sympathize with, is left in a life or death situation. Alone, save her inner voices, a starving, stray mongrel dog. The chainsaw wielding man, and the loons who scream responses to her screams. The horrifying imaginary and very real threats that haunt her at every turn. This is a surreal and mind twisting story, that will stick with all readers for years to come...

Great story, bedtime, lunchtime, or anytime..

I love this novel. Quite scary and horrifying at times, never a dull moment in this, first of Michael Talbots adventures.. I highly recommend this series, along with the Zombie Holocaust series.

I enjoyed the story and also the narrator. But much like Quinton Tarantinos Pulp Fiction, Resevoir Dogs, and others. The story just keeps jumping from a point in the story to another, then back again. I enjoy the work of Tarantino but it's a little confusing and I think would be better told straight forward.. I still enjoy the characters but have yet to finish the book..

Thank you Audible, I knew there were terrifying stories, I've not had the pleasure of reading (listening in this case). I recommend that any fan of King, Straub, or Joe Hill, listen to this series. I'm nearly finished with the second installment of the series. From the first appearance of the Childhood home of our protagonist, Shane. I couldn't get any writing done of my own. I was so enthralled with the variety of characters living and dead. It takes time for the outwardly scary ghosts to show their true intentions. Twists and a tangent that will have you leaving the lights on at night. I cannot wait to get to the next installment. Till then. Enjoy constant Audible listener..

The most horrific and heartbreaking thing to happen to a family since, the Limburg Baby. I really enjoyed the story and the narrator. I usually try to stay with fiction. I love to be frightened by ghosts, monsters and extraterrestrial life forms. I enjoy nightmares about things that cannot happen in my daily life. This Audible Original twisted my fear of the irrational and rational. So, do yourself a favor and add this to your library..

Not what I expected. Only very few decent stories.

I thought that this was going to be a very chilling and scary book. Turns out only a precious few were worth the time and effort. I'm a fan of the most horrific, well written and entertaining short stories. Maybe others will find these stories enjoyable. I personally would've liked more loom and doom. "Haunt" was a good novella in this collection. But was spoken in strong accent by narrator. Still was my favorite.. I'm afraid of the sea, so I believed this collection would frighten me easily. I recommend that you listen to the sample story before you buy. Again, this is only my opinion.. Wanna be really scared? Try Berkley Street Series. I was honestly afraid and cringed at many points of the first two installments.. Plus I received all 9 installments for one credit. A great deal.. Looking forward to finishing the others installments..
