feel good story
Revisado: 11-26-19
Dan just lost his wife, so it broke his heart that his wife's dog was stolen too. With some miracle, their dog landed on Andrea's arms, who took care of her passionately. As fate would have it, things fall in place for two broken people.
This was an adorable read. I really appreciate the point of the story. I really like the flow of the story, until it got too good to be true. But nonetheless, it was a very enjoyable read. You will not regret reading/listening to it.

Historia
It's the '90s! Not everyone's heard of Nirvana yet, and audiotapes are barely outdated. The live music scene is alive and well, and bands still make things like "demo tapes" and "albums." After missing her best opportunity to attend a prestigious art school, 17-year-old Salvador Dali devotee Zero begins dating Mike, a drummer in an up-and-coming punk band. As their tentative relationship blooms, Zero confronts a ton of baggage holding her back from her art career.

Zero is amazing
Revisado: 11-13-19
Zero is not very happy with life right now. She's pissed at her besr friend, though she got in, she can't go to her dream school, her parents keep fighting, and everything just sucks. But when she meets the cute drummer of an up and coming band, things are finally looking up. Does having a boyfriend actually help though?
I love Zero! I really like her voice! She's just so unapologetic and so realistic. She reminded me of being a teen, loving bands, and just expressing myself in the most awkward way.
The flow of the story is so good too. The way Zero rises, falls, and rises again was just very good. Because that's just how real life is.
Not saying anything, I really like the way the book ended. It's the type where it's not just girls who read this can take something good from it.
This was such a good read!

Historia
For urban-legend hunter and television host Gabe Powers, it’s business - investigate the most notorious haunted places in Savannah. Then he meets his new sound engineer, a dewy Georgia peach who may just turn this gig into (im)pure pleasure. All it takes is one night for them to conjure floor-rattling, wall-banging moans…but they’re not from the ghosts. Blame the rippling abs, the cocky swagger, the whole muscle-bulging package, but Gabe is bringing out good-girl Lily Jameson’s dirty side. Damn her code-of-conduct contract - this isn’t just a molten-hot fling.

Has everything I like in a book
Revisado: 10-31-19
When Gabe landed in Savannah, he wasn't expectong to make an episode for his show about ghosts, and he certainly wasn't expecting to find a local so attractive. Soon Lily and Gabe are smitten! But because of his show that requires him to travel a lot, what would happen to Lily?
This is such a funny and steamy book! It has everything that I like in a book! The characters, the comedy, the love story, I love everything about it! I do not have any complaints about this book!
Lily is such a fun and independent character. I like that she's so unafraid, and witty. Gabe is such a softie, which was unexpected. In a way, he has a tendency to be too perfect and flawless which is not the best part, but I still like him. I haven't checked, but I really want to see Lily's sister, Daisy's story. I feel like she has this story that needs to be let out.
The story definitely focuses more about the characters and their conflicts, than the thing that brought them together which is ghost-hunting. I actually thought that this book was a romantic comedy horror vibe, but it's more contemporary with just a dab of supernatural.
In any case, I love this book. The audiobook was very well done. I definitely like the lady narrator more. The feelings, and the way they deliver the comedic lines were very good.
Anyway, I would love to read more from this author! I really like the comedy and steamy tandem!

Very good!
Revisado: 10-19-19
Though she came from a rich family, Grace is ready to take on the new position as a director of the children's center, and leave her lifestyle behind. But it seems like some of the locals don't like the new changes she's done. Matt is one of them. But it's not for those reasons. For some reason, he can't help but be attracted to the rich lady.
This was such a very good book! I liked Grace. I liked her journey to her independence, and she's the type to take on everything. Matt is very strong and kind. Both have good back stories that I appreciate very much. They don't need character growth, cause this story is more about moving on, and growing in faith, and in love.
The flow of the story is great. And i love that the whole community is a part of the story too. You kinda want to know what happens to them too. I liked learning about the kids, and how the center will grow. It's pretty good.
This was a nice read. And the narrators of the audiobook were pretty good. I especially liked the lady narrator. I loved the emotions she put in.

The best from the series
Revisado: 10-15-19
Kimber's life is going down hill... After being left at the altar, she learned that her dying father got remarried. And she now has a very cold step mother and two canines as step sisters... It also doesn't help that a hot Italian wouldn't give back her most precious thing... This is not your average Cinderella story!
I am in love with this book! I really like Kimber's fiesty attitude. I love her personality and she is such a strong woman. She is so funny too! There's just so many jokes and one liners here that are too funny! Mateo is awesome too! He's probably my fave hero from the series. He has this misunderstood guy thing going on that I really like.
I really don't want to share anything else cause it's so nice to just dive right in! I wouldn't really call this a slow burn, cause they have the hots for each other, but you'll definitely have moments where you just want them to get on already (that's the slow burn part), but it is soooo satisfying! They are so steamy and it's so great!
The narrators are amazing too! I like the lady narrator for sure! And the guy narrator definitely gets an A for his Italian accent!
This is pretty good stuff! And this is definitely my favorite out of the books in the series!

Historia
Tyler McColdrum has a bright future on the professional surfing circuit until his father tragically dies at sea. Unable to pay the bills, Tyler and his mother leave California and move to his late grandfather's cottage in Land's End, Maine - a world away from the life he's known. Not even the stormy Atlantic can douse Tyler's surf stoke, but when mariners go missing off the coast, legends as old as the sea itself suggest something lurks beneath the surface. Amara is a beautiful mermaid, a mero, who wants a life on land away from her sinister sisters. As charming as mero are, they're also brutal and cruel, stealing the souls of sailors....

Good book
Revisado: 10-13-19
Tyler is not very happy to leave California for Maine, his parents home town. But they have to... All he wants to do is finish senior year and go back to California with the waves. But something weird is happening to all the surfers. Tyler being a surfer himself, might uncover what's really happening.
I read this as an audiobook, and I wasn't to keen on the narrator. Though this is Tyler's point of view for most of the book, there were some parts that were in Amara's point of view. And it started with hers, and hearing a man's voice for a female character in the beginning really put me off cause I didn't know why it was like that. Besides that, I thought the emotions and accents could've been better...
Anyway, as for the story, it was good. I like the world building here. It was nice to imagine Maine, I did feel I was there. And Amara's world was very dark and I quite like it. It's very understandable why she escaped.
The pacing of the book was okay. It took almost half of the book for Tyler and Amara to meet. But I like the way Tyler's new life in Maine was discussed, because it makes you feel that time you were the new person in school with no one you know and he slowly finds his footing.
I really wouldn't call this a romantic book. Definitely more of an adventure book. I just thought the romance happened too suddenly that I didn't know which part they fell in love.
It was a good book though, I still want to see what's going to happen next in the series.

Friendship tested by war
Revisado: 09-18-19
Scarlet wants to prove to her rich parents that she'll thrive being a war nurse, Ellie wants a change of pace from her small Irish town, and Lucy dreams of becoming a doctor. Three different nurses brought together by the war, will their friendship last in this horrible period of time.
The book was really good. I like that we get to see the characters during the war. It's so interesting to see them fight the war even though they're not soldiers. Just made me realize that soldiers aren't the only ones wounded in the war.
The characters are amazing, and I love the way they change through the book. Their characters develop in different ways that made them very realistic.
I read this as an audiobook, and I really like the way the narrator spoke. The feelings and the characters do come through the her voice.
Amazing book, and I'm looking forward to reading the other books.

Sweet and heartfelt
Revisado: 07-29-19
Liz has just lost her husband and soulmate, Grady. And while going to the five stages of grief, her new neighbor, Ben, is not only helping her with her four children but also with healing. But how can Liz grieve when she's also feeling something for Ben?
This story is so good! This is one of those rare books that I can't help but to want to know what's going to happen next.
Liz is such a relatable character! And I'm not even a mom, and I'm not even going through grief. She is so human. The way she explained her feelings, and thoughts were just so relatable! Ben is also such a wonderful character. He is definitely a book crush. But he has a tendency of being a perfect guy. So when the book showed his weak points, it was so good! The minor characters like Liz's kids, and the family members are so good too. They're realistic and I like that they help out Liz along too.
The flow of the story is so well written! This is the reason why I wanted to know what happened next! I just really wanted to see how everything will fall into place.
I read this as an audiobook. I listened to many audiobooks, and I wasn't much of a fan of the narrator. I just felt like the performance fell short for me.
Overall though, I really enjoyed going through Liz's experiences. It was sad, funny, and just all around amazing!

Housekeeper for a stunningly handsome, male-model billionaire? Yep, that’s my job and it’s as dreamy as it sounds. I get to live in his ridiculously huge mansion, and all I have to do is take care of his mom and daughter, who are practically family. To top it off, the notoriously bossy Mr. King has been away for business since I started. But he came home today. Liam King looks like he stepped out of a GQ magazine, and the way he undresses me with his eyes should be illegal. He ignites my body. Every part of it. But It doesn’t matter how tempting he is. I can’t have him.

Sexy and cute
Revisado: 07-16-19
Aubrey is loving her job being a care taker of her unknown boss's daughter and mother. But on the day she met Liam, she is head over hills. Liam's ex-wife wants to take his daughter away, so he and Aubrey have to fake their relationship to look good for the lawyers, and things aren't working as they planned. Include the fact that they're starting to fall in love with each other.
The romance aspect of the story is actually quite nice. I like that it's sexy and cute. It came to a point where I just want them to be together already.
The overall story though, fell short for me though. I like the villains in the story but I feel like it's just not impressive as I thought it would be. I thought the story was just okay for me.
Don't get me wring, it's good! I also feel like they breezed through the resolution, and rushed to the ending.

Historia
Aiden Sinclair was a commercial fisherman before he suddenly came into his billionaire inheritance - not that he’s complaining. Being a Sinclair does have its perks. But things were simpler before the money. He may have been dirt poor, but he loved his job and fully intended to always come back from the sea to his girlfriend, Skye Weston, so they could move toward something more permanent. Or at least that had been the plan...until he returned from a two-month fishing trip to discover she had moved away and was marrying somebody else. It tore his world apart.

One of the best in the series
Revisado: 07-03-19
Skye is not too happy seeing Aiden after nine years. But she had to come back to Citrus Beach for a shot to give her daughter a better life. As secrets resurface, and truths are finally out, can Skye and Aidan have another shot too.
It has been awhile since I liked a JS Scott novel. Don't get me wrong they're good, but this one was one of the best. Maybe it's because it's a secret baby troupe, but I like that we have a single mother as the main character (mimd you, I am not even a mother and i liked it). And yes, I do think that Skye is the main charater even though Aiden is the Sinclair. I just feel like Skye has more personality than the other woman lead.
I have to commend that the story is more about personal struggles, problems in the relationship itself, and not a budding romance. Since this is a second chance romance, I like that they discuss about family troubles, and their relationship, not about them saying that they can't be together.
The narrator for this audiobook is the same narrator as with all the billionaire romances by JS Scott. And truthfully, I liked that she is the only one. I like her style of narration, and the steamy scenes are full of feelings that aren't over the top.
This was such a good read and listen. And it's nice to see more personality with the characters.
