These reviews are supposed to be a way for potential readers to make a good decision. Unfortunately most reviews must either be by bots that have something against this author or it's young inexperienced readers that DO NOT understand the art of writing or even worse it is experienced readers that do not understand the art of writing. either way I am an experienced reader that loves good writing and keep thing brutally honest.

(NO SPOILERS, THE INFO YOU WANT TO KNOW ONLY)

THE PROS:
First, if anyone is familiar at all with Nick Podel you know that the performance is nothing but perfect Secondly, the character development in this book is excellent. Rezkin battles with his identity the entire novel. The storyline following both Tam and Frisha is exactly what you would want out of sub-scripts making you want to know more at the end of each scene. The new characters that are introduced have some depth and dynamic though for me they weren't as likable as I would wish. The author does a good job balancing the scene lengths not letting any one story run to dry. overall I am very happy with this installment of the "King's Dark Tidings" series and I thank KK for the read.

THE CONS:
The most disappointing part of the book is the ending. It's not the Stephen King bad ending when it seems King just doesn't know how to conclude his great novels. It's closer to the way an uninterested and fatigued artist may hap hazardly finish what would otherwise be a great piece of work. Seems as if KK just lost interest in the novel. Which makes me wonder how long and at what quality will the next book in series be like. If KK happens to read this just know WE LOVE REZ PLEASE DONT RUIN IT,PLEASE!!! Also some of the more interesting characters are virtually left out of the book. I would've liked more of Tieren and some other characters.

with all that said IAGAIN THANK YOU Kel Kade for the book!!

I wish I could write a raving review stating my love for the series and the characters. Unfortunately all of these positives are greatly overshadowed by the non-arrival of the next book in this “so-called” series. I understand it takes time to write a gripping conclusion but 3+ years?.?.? it’s BS!!

My favorite new Television series is "The Boys" on Amazon Prime, Steelheart is that series with a sadistic upgrade. I love the use of high tech weapons, graviton equipped super crotch rockets, Portable rail guns with destructive neon green discharges, hand-held pulse rifles that blurr the line between technology and magic.....shall I go on? It's a whole lot of fun from cover to cover and yet still finds a way to develop the characters enough that you love or hate them. With that said, If your like stories that have suprises or ignite your inner sherlock holmes this one probably isn't for you. The storyline is just good enough for such a talented author but not the most captivating. Don't get me wrong, I still would recommend it both kids and adults. For some reason it kept reminding me of James Pattersons book "Toys", not really sure why though.....lol Thanks again Brandon! please never stop pumping them out!

Honestly, in the beginning I didn't know what to think of the writing style and narration choice but by somewhere around chapter five it was easily decided. The author takes you into a world so uniquely different from any other fantasy novel that you can't help but want to hear more. Admitedly there are slow spans that seemed just a bit to long, though not long enough to make me give up. Overall The book has very good story progression and character development. I especially enjoyed the representation of magic. Not that of fire wielding mages or all powerful dragons, instead a magic that truly permeates all things existing in this world. It gave me Jedi force kind of vibe. The mental picture painted by the author of this world walks hand and hand with the narrators voice. With all that said, I wouldn't put this novel on the same shelf with my absolute favorite fantasy stories such as Game of Thrones or Mist Born series. I have no trouble pushing it in next to Throne of Glass. Which is pretty impressive considering the Author is a surfer babe and this being her first novel.....Don't take me wrong I love surfer babes, It was the highest of compliments.

the 5 book package is highly redundant. the information in the the first 2.5 books is basically repeated in the next 2.5 books. Most times without any elaboration the second time around. Many times its word for word exactly the same. i guess since im getting 5 books for the price of 1 i cant complain that much.

with that being said, their is a couple golden nuggets of info. i consider myself well read on human nature, psychology and persuasions. So being able to find even a few new tricks at this point makes the read worth the time (for me anyway). the narrorator is easy to listen to. i listened with speed at 1.20 sounda more natural to me.

if your looking for a seriously great book about psychology check put "the laws of human nature"...awesome!

Let me begin by stating that this is one of my favorite fantasy series so far on Audible. I have a 12 year old daughter that is an advanced reader and I'm always looking for book series that have no profanity or strong sexual suggestions. this series meets both of those criteria. the story in the first two books is amazing, intense and suspenseful. The 3rd book is awsome but in my opinion a little slower and lacks some of the plot twist that were in the earlier books of the series. Nick Podell's is awesome by far my favorite audible narrator. digressing just a little I would say for other parents out there that in my experience over the past five years with fantasy series it seems the first book is always for the most part clean of profanity and sexual content but the second book takes a step in the wrong direction in both aspects then by the third book the content is inappropriate in almost every way. this pattern seems to be present in most fantasy series that I listen to. you have to be vigilant to keep the dirt of this world from our children's eyes and ears. with that being said this series is great for children's of almost all ages. It does contain violence but not Gore the fight scenes descriptions are detailed in the right way in my opinion. I would recommend this series to anyone looking for a great epic adventure. I can't wait for this future Edition.

Unique and refreshing angle to a fictional epic retold so many times that I was beginning to believe new light shed was improbable. I tip my hat to the author. I am a desktop gamer at heart despite my 40 something flesh. this series is the next best thing to a now busy life. I look forward to reading the entire series and will keep my eye out for new titles. Recommend for all young and old as long as the reader has at least a small idea of the layout of RPG gaming (Role playing Game).

The book is good.....good not great, it contains decent information in regards to human behavior, unfortunately most of the info especially when talking about body language and the meaning it holds is obvious and well known facts. Furthermore there is a few instances where the author states a certain behavior as a studied fact but is either ignorant or purposely deceiving the reader of the true facts. Other than the aforementioned this is a good book for someone who is just starting to learn about human behavior or psychology.
