good solid book
Revisado: 06-14-20
this was a well paced mystery with two main points of view. I don't know if it was me or the book but I wasn't very attached to the characters so the danger never felt too pressing. it was a decent listen and I did binge it in two days so that's something.

Historia
Alicia Berenson’s life is seemingly perfect. A famous painter married to an in-demand fashion photographer, she lives in a grand house with big windows overlooking a park in one of London’s most desirable areas. One evening, her husband, Gabriel, returns home late from a fashion shoot, and Alicia shoots him five times in the face and then never speaks another word. Alicia’s refusal to talk, or give any kind of explanation, turns a domestic tragedy into something far grander, a mystery that captures the public imagination and casts Alicia into notoriety.

decent story
Revisado: 06-12-20
I was expecting it to be a bit more gripping and the reveal was good but could have been great. non linear and non traditional story telling.

Almost perfect
Revisado: 01-29-20
Honestly, had I not heard the R.C. Bray version I would probably love this. I love Wil as a Narrator and have enjoyed many of his recordings but this one was a miss for me.
I still enjoyed it, but I missed Bray's handling of accents and character voice.
Had this been an ensemble cast, with Wil reading for Watney alone... it just would have been better.

a great second entry
Revisado: 11-10-19
I felt the first one was missing something but this.... this had everything I wanted. I love the friendship between the MCs and the hints of more, the mystery and investigative parts are well done and most of all I like the characters a great deal.

over all a solid novel
Revisado: 10-17-19
I enjoyed the characters and the story very much. the mystery was decent, though one or two bits of foreshadowing nearly gave it away. I like it all enough to continue on in the series and the narrator was wonderfully chosen. it lacked something that I can't name though, that kept me from loving it. I wish I could pinpoint was it was.... besides that I would recommend the read.

Third times a charm
Revisado: 06-17-19
A gender fluid MC and more diverse sex again makes this third book a great cap on a good trilogy. I love that we saw more of previous characters and that we got to deal with some interesting ideas. The misery was not solvable early in the book but then... there were not true clues as to who done it. but again, it was a great backdrop for a good love story.

second verse as good as the first.
Revisado: 06-17-19
i was happy that this second book was as good as the first. The love story was slightly different the x rated sex was different and it expounded upon side characters from the first. Again, the misery was an easy solve but it was still a good backdrop. i enjoyed the characters just as much this time around and am eager to see what happens next.

Lodging-house keeper Clem Talleyfer prefers a quiet life. He's happy with his hobbies, his work - and especially with his lodger Rowley Green, who becomes a friend over their long fireside evenings together. If only neat, precise, irresistible Mr. Green were interested in more than friendship. Rowley just wants to be left alone - at least until he meets Clem, with his odd, charming ways and his glorious eyes. Two quiet men, lodging in the same house, coming to an understanding...it could be perfect.

Good, with room for improvement
Revisado: 06-17-19
I must say i didnt expect this to have the rather x rated scenes it had but for all that it was well written and the characters were wonderful. The mystery was far too easy to solve, but it made a good backdrop for the characters and kept the story moving. for only being 7 hours long, it had plenty of depth and i enjoyed it.

fun listen with a fun and interesting tale.
Revisado: 06-16-18
over all o really enjoyed the story of how famous madmen of fiction, created children who came together to solve the mystery of murder and creation. my only negative is how often the characters break the narrative in order to comment or argue. itay have played off better in print, but in audiobook, I found it a bit frustrating.
