Could have been just one book...

This was the first time I have ever sped up a book to get thru it. While some descriptors and details are good, this book was excessive, in my opinion. Someone had commented on the politics of the storyline... Since it was late in the story, it didn't bother me. Just get on with the story already!
Cut down on the excess fluff and make it one book next time.

Good story, lousy narrator

Standard Nora Robert's story and a good one.
This one has the same narrator as the other two Inn Boonsboro stories. Be prepared to not know who is supposed to be talking when more than one male or more than one female in the scene.

It is very difficult to differentiate between the characters as the narrator is terrible. If it wasn't for the author inserting "Avery said" or "Hope said" once in awhile, I might have returned the book.
Story was good, tho somewhat expected.

What did you love best about City of Bones: Harry Bosch Series, Book 8?

It's a Michael Connelly Bosch book... Is there any other reason to give?

Would you be willing to try another one of Peter Jay Fernandez’s performances?

NO! Peter Jay Fernandez's reading of this book is awful! All of his characters sound the same. There should be some difference from Bosch and Edgar (both males, if unfamiliar with the series) & Brasher and Billets (both females). I'm only three hours into the story and I've been wishing for a different reader for most of this time.

I'll finish the story because I want to know the twists and turns and the end, but this is very painful.

Any additional comments?

To the publishing company -please re-record this book with a different reader!!!

Need a Swedish Female Narrator....

Would you try another book from Henning Mankell and/or Cassandra Campbell?

Henning Mankell - yes; Cassandra Campbell with his books - no.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

After listening to the other Henning Mankell books about Kurt Wallendar, Ms. Campbell's reading for Linda Wallendar character and her pronunciations just seem too 'English,' too off. This is very distracting.

Rachel Vincent did a great job of finalizing the series. No cliffhangers leaving you wanting more. Tearjerker!

This is a good warm-up for the next book in the series. I'm glad I listened to this one first. It leaves you interested in finding out more details and draws you in. Well worth the time.
