Historia
When a years-long case against a powerful mobster finally cracks and an unimpeachable witness takes the stand, federal prosecutor Nora Carleton is looking forward to putting the defendant away for good. The mobster, though, has other plans. As the witness's testimony concludes, a note is passed to the prosecution offering up information into the assassination of a disgraced former New York governor, murdered in his penthouse apartment just days before. It's enough to blow the case wide open, and to send Nora into a high-stakes investigation of conspiracy, corruption, and danger.

The novel will make a good movie. Hopefully, the actors involved wouldn’t be as smarmy sounding as this performer.
Comer’s book is full of the picturesque New York I know. It is well-crafted, catchy, and smart.
However, the performer was insipid and annoying. None of the ADA’s I have had contact with would be taken seriously if they spoke like the women in this story.
In my experience ADA’s modulate their voice to sound strong and would not dare to sound like the sexy-cute kittens portrayed in this reading. The fluffy baby girl voice was almost enough to make regret the purchase. I look forward to the movie.

Microexpressions are brief, involuntary facial expressions that are cues to the true emotions that someone is feeling. We see microexpressions in tiny twitches of the brows, the lips and nose. They can last for as little as 1/15th of a second on the face. In this episode we describe the science of microexpressions, emotion and how to use it to connect with others. I was impressed by the clarity of the information, and the easy conversation that flowed between the Dr. and his student. I look forward to listening to more on this topic.
