The 12 rules presented in the book are for sure not exhaustive for me but I found a lot of wisdom in the details. Worth listening for sure. The only criticism - a bit too religious for me.

Well written and with gripping and thrilling story the book kept me intrigued the whole time. Got a real feeling of Ireland and it's people and customs. Highly recommend!

Surprisingly this does not cover 300 years but about 150 and leaves the story at the moment when Aegon II ascends the throne at 16. The book is good but I found myself lost during the Dance of the Dragons. Not for a casual reader but for hardcore fans.

Very good and informative book. Even if 10% of it is true, it's still worth switching to whole food plant based diet.

What was most disappointing about The Great Courses’s story?

The obvious bias of the author saying thing like "The orthodox christian nations of the Balkans should be grateful to the Ottoman empire for saving their identity..." and justifying the Armenian genocide with the fact that some Arminian held important positions in the empire and the Armenian church was protected, calling it "unfortunate event". More of this was to be found throughout the book.
