How US Universities Lost Their Way - Brilliant!

Having seen this first hand in the universities a quarter-century ago and more recently in the business world, it is refreshing to see these facts come to find a wider audience. The backstory on brainwashing techniques was fascinating. You will definitely come away with a valuable perspective on what is going on and how it is being done.

For those who are considering reading this but who disagree with the premise of the book, I would still recommend this book to you because it focuses on the techniques used by the proponents of the worst forms of modern ideology. We all have a stake in creating a kinder, gentler nation. As scholars, we have a duty to extend the enlightenment and fight back against the rapidly multiplying fields of pseudo-science.

A lot of “fluff”

This book has some information, but it is mainly “fluff“. It is directed almost exclusively at the fiction writer. If you are interested in writing nonfiction you would probably do better to pick another book. Either way, if you are serious about becoming an author, I would recommend “Published” by Chandler Bolt.

I have always been interested in a Hayek’s works, however I found the Road to Surfdom a bit wordy. This book keeps the narrative of a very large body of complex work moving.
