Historia
Arthur lives with his father, a fallen but proud former noble, in Border Village #49, along with the other good folks condemned to toil in service to the Baron. But Arthur has an edge: a stolen heart card that secretly fell into his possession, thanks to a dragon. It’s a priceless source of power for the Baron and the tyrant will kill to get it back. Invaluable, too, to a young man of spellcasting ambitions.

Fun and not combat oriented
Revisado: 09-05-23
This was an enjoyable RPG adventure that wasn't focused on combat, which was a nice twist. Being a young master of skills has its perks, and unique ways to tell a story.

dark souls meets sword art online
Revisado: 03-13-23
It started off really well, I liked the game tester side of it and finding glitches and stuff. but then it went a bit off the rails and the book just sort of stops right in the middle of everything, with no clue as to what is happening or why. I honestly don't know if I care enough to invest in part 2.

Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

A slow story, crippled by a monotonous narrator.
Revisado: 06-13-19
I am currently on chapter 7 (of 16) and I just can't find myself caring enough about this slow story or the monotonous narrator to listen any further. The narrator has no vocal range, doesn't vary the voices at all so everything sounds the same, plus the story is just painfully slow. Not to spoil anything, but so far the kid has crash landed, got wet, saw a weird bird and is currently eating his last protein bar. There you go... that's the first 7 chapters. *Yawn*

Historia
The New York Times best-selling novel from Garth Stein - a heart-wrenching but deeply funny and ultimately uplifting story of family, love, loyalty, and hope - a captivating look at the wonders and absurdities of human life...as only a dog could tell it.

Original, incredible and engaging.

A book written from a dog's perspective. Original, incredible and engaging. I am a dog lover at heart and the first and last chapter of this book had me tearing up pretty hard, what a beautiful story.

Historia
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

6 hours in and still bored.
Revisado: 05-14-14
Would you try another book from Brandon Sanderson and/or Kate Reading and Michael Kramer ?
I love epic fantasy, but so far I am 6 hours in to this book and it's still boring. It's certainly no Game of Thrones (I absolutely loved that series).
What three words best describe Kate Reading and Michael Kramer ’s voice?
Voice is OK. Not great, not bad.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Boredom. I just don't care about any of the characters or the world.
