Historia
In 1971 Paulette Cooper wrote a scathing book about the Church of Scientology. Desperate to shut the book down, Scientology unleashed on her one of the most sinister personal campaigns the free world has ever known. The onslaught, which lasted years, ruined her life and drove her to the brink of suicide. The story of Paulette's terrifying ordeal is told in full for the first time in The Unbreakable Miss Lovely.

Great story. Odd recording.

I can’t fault the book. But there’s a weird recording issue where the end of words simply drop off. At first, I thought Mr. Ortega had a cold while reading. After a closer listen, I realized it’s just a weird recording. Great story & kudos for not fearing Scientology.

Historia
Inside Michael’s craft supply store, cashier Ann Chapman rings up another customer. Then it happens. A loud crack; a gust of wind; the light in register five goes dark. Over the next 23 days, the entire DC area will be thrust into a reign of terror unprecedented in American history. Sniper attacks targeting and murdering everyday citizens will bring the entire region to its knees as a nation still reeling from the recent attacks of 9/11 and the anthrax scare is forced to confront a new type of brutal assault - this time in their own backyard.

I learned a lot.

I had no clue how incorrect my understanding of this case was. I love Jim Clemente’s Audible Originals. Maureen O’Connell is a fantastic narrator. Well done & victim focused. Worth the listen.

Accents
Revisado: 09-11-19
Great book, but the accents used by the performer are borderline offensive. At the least, the accents are ridiculous. However, still a good book worthy of a listen/read.
