Historia
In my book, you will meet a little girl named Viola who ran from her past until she made a life-changing decision to stop running forever. This is my story, from a crumbling apartment in Central Falls, Rhode Island, to the stage in New York City, and beyond. This is the path I took to finding my purpose but also my voice in a world that didn’t always see me.

Riveting and Real!
Revisado: 07-15-22
Viola's life is as real as it gets! Ups, downs, highs, lows, and valleys! It makes you realize that her acting seems so real because she lived and survived a lot of it! I laughed 😅 and cried with and for her and her family. Her husband was a Godsend in her life! I feel like I know her personally.

It seems like the perfect job. Great wages, accommodation provided and all located within the walls of Highwood Hall, a stunning stately home owned by the Howard family. Not many little girls dream of becoming a maid, but this is an opportunity for me to get back on my feet. And for me to revisit my past....

Riveting and Suspenseful!
Revisado: 06-24-22
The story started a little slow at first, but then it took off! So many crooks and turns that I had to listen to some of the chapters two or three times just to stay afloat of what was happening and who was speaking! I thoroughly enjoyed the book because the ending was so unexpected!

I'm 57 but I listened to this book knowing that it was for middle schoolers! I was pleasantly surprised 😮 and I didn't want to put the book away! The writing was incredible and the readers gave teal life to the characters. I loved it!

For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Riveting Thriller!
Revisado: 06-03-22
This was a great story 👏 The author carries you on a wonderful journey of a young girl coming of age and shunned by those who should have helped her. But really she was better off in her own habitat with those who watched over her as she grew up.
A great murder whodunit mystery! I listened to the book in 2 days while I was at work and driving back and forth to work 🙃

Revisado: 01-05-22
Loved the book! I love hearing about people's lives and I am in there meeting everyone! I get a better understanding of a person when I hear their life stories! Will was very honest and I cried with him and laughed with him and learned with him.
I learned about Jeff and his struggles and his brilliant mind! Awesome! I couldn't put the audible down!
I also sent Will a message about Jada's 1st meeting with Gigi 😒😒☹☹ Not cool.

Sad But True 😢
Revisado: 11-29-21
When I first started listening to the book, I thought it was just a story. Later, I learned that it was all true! I cried some along with the people in the story. I wondered how someone could be so cruel 😢. I really wonder what happened to Shelly as a child for her to act out in this way and how her husband could just go along with her actions. The children had no choice, but her husband....
