Historia
Seabiscuit was one of the most electrifying and popular attractions in sports history and the single biggest newsmaker in the world in 1938, receiving more coverage than FDR, Hitler, or Mussolini. But his success was a surprise to the racing establishment, which had written off the crooked-legged racehorse with the sad tail.

Historia
The 1941 Battle of Moscow, unquestionably one of the most decisive battles of World War II, marked the first strategic defeat of the German armed forces in their seemingly unstoppable march across Europe. The Soviets lost many more people in this one battle than the British and Americans lost in the whole of the Second World War. Now, with authority and narrative power, Rodric Braithwaite tells the story in large part through the individual experiences of ordinary Russian men and women.

The true account of the 2017-2018 solo nonstop circumnavigation by Jerome Rand aboard the Westsail 32 Mighty Sparrow. A testament to endurance and adventure, this memoir recounts what life is like aboard a small sailboat during a 271-day voyage around the globe, alone, and without stopping. One of the greatest challenges of both body and mind, the author will take you onboard during the good times and the bad. As one of only a handful of people to have ever succeed in such a small boat, this story is truly the adventure of a lifetime.

What not to do!
Revisado: 09-30-21
This is a story of what not to do. Do not go blindly to sea for the simple reason of saying you did it. The sea is a fragile environment and the author did it for all the wrong reasons. I had to stop listening after he spoke about killing an Albatross by hooking it with a fishing lure and drowning it by dragging it behind his boat. He said he can be ok with killing one but not more. That Albatross not only lost his life but meant his mate likely was waiting weeks for him during mating season and thus no offspring from him ever again and a heartbroken mate left alone; breaking a limb from his family tree. Firing shotgun shells into the ocean to scare off birds is outrageous. Learn about the ocean and be an observer if you want to sail. Don't add to its destruction like the author of this book.

Historia
This is the first book to trace the fascinating parallel history of law and science from antiquity to modern times, showing how the two disciplines have always influenced each other - until recently. In the past few years, the scientific paradigm has shifted dramatically, from seeing the natural world as a kind of cosmic machine to understanding it as a network of fluidly interacting communities. But law is stuck in a mechanistic, 17th-century view that the world is made up of discrete individual parts.

Historia
Perhaps one of the most revolutionary works of philosophy ever presented, The Phenomenology of Spirit is Hegel's 1807 work that is in numerous ways extraordinary. A myriad of topics are discussed, and explained in such a harmoniously complex way that the method has been termed Hegelian dialectic. Ultimately, the work as a whole is a remarkable study of the mind's growth from its direct awareness to scientific philosophy, proving to be a difficult yet highly influential and enduring work.

Hegel's ideas and theories were far from simple. He loved to explain things in long, complex ways but this audiobook is well narrated by David DeVries and his clear voice allows one to listen as if Hegel himself is reading to you.
