I couldn’t even get to the end of the first chapter. The narration was horrible. I had a very hard time figuring out which character was supposed to be talking and when it was internal dialog versus interactive speech. This may be a good book, but I’ll have to “read” it to find out.

The first several chapters were very hard to get through, and I didn’t know if I would be able to finish it. While it gets “a little” easier the second half, it’s still a hard read. Brace yourself, and if you personally have experienced any trauma in your past, AVOID THIS BOOK COMPLETELY.

Narrator a bit challenging, but book awesome

The narrator doesn’t differentiate the character voices very well. I had to rewind a few times to understand which character was talking, or whether it was general story/character internal “thought” dialog versus if the character was actually speaking out loud. Story in general was awesome as with all the Leopard series.

Where does Shadow Rider rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This story is a nice cross between the Game series and the Carpathian series. Humans with the sense of family and protectiveness of the Carpathians. Good start to a promising series.
