Great story!

This was a great story, much anticipated after the last two books. I did not appreciate the narrator's reading. His telling of the last couple has been drab and uninspired, in my opinion. I miss the days of having Rene Auberjonois or Scott Brick tell the tales of Agent Pendergast.
Aside from the performance, this was a definite win for the authors.
I can't wait to see where the next book lands our hero... and Diogenes!

A story that conjures curiosity, outrage, and wonderment!

The twists and turns of the case itself are enough to make the book worth a read. I very much enjoyed hearing the case facts and trying to figure out "who done it".
Add to that the Italian authorities' role and you have what amounts to something in between a conspiracy theorist's wet dream and an honest journalist's nightmare.
5/5, would definitely recommend.

I'm a big fan of the Pendergast books and this is a great book all on it's own, but the reading of this title was amazing!
I'm not used to the level of theatrics used here being applied to an audiobook, if I'm honest, so it was quite drawing and refreshing to experience.
These authors always come together to write great storylines and deep characters; this book is no exception to that!

If, like myself, you enjoy a good story about true crime and punishment or are a fan of organized crime stories, this is a book for you!
Martorano's unflinching story telling is top of the line and some of the information he shares about the Irish mobs in and around Boston is shocking as well as inspiring when you hear how he learned to flow with the punches coming at him.
Give this book a listen and you won't be disappointed.

Very informative

This isn't as much about Mr. Persico as it seems to be about the folks around him in most of the tales told here. This book gives a vivid picture of the things that shaped the career of one of the most influential guys to be a part of Family history though and, as such, I would recommend this title to anyone who enjoys the rich history of the American mafia.
