if you don't have time to read about Love Languages, The Secret, go to Christian Church, and talk to your grandma, pick up this book. It's like Cliff notes to all of that. Not a terrible book, but it should have not been a novel.

Great reporting work, impeccable writing, stark view of a real problem that nobody is really trying to fix

this was a gripping recount of the terrible tragedy of 1996. Krakauer takes you to the minds of mountaineers and the difficulties of climbing mount Everest with excellent detail.

soooo funny. Tina enjoys reading her book and you feels like she is in your living room, chatting with you.

I got to this book through all the controversy caused by the author's remarks liking maternity leave to a sabbatical. as a mom, it made me really mad and I wanted to read her book to further criticize her. However, this was an interesting story of a woman who made a crazy choice but grew up through it and learned things about her self. Is it a literary masterpiece? not at all. At times it is childish and Liz is every millennial cliche of entitlement and shallowness. Is it the book I wanted to hate? not at all! I must be a millenial cliche myself, becuase I could identify with Liz...sometimes. It is a fun book that keeps you reading and helps cope with the stress of traffic.
