Historia
Orcs, an ancient fiend thought lost to history, have risen from The Under Realm. Their hunger for total dominance has plunged Illian into war, pushing the survivors to Namdhor, the last refuge of man at the top of the world. For those who stand up to this foe, they do so in darkness. Ash clouds smother the skies, blocking out the sun as the orcs rampage across the land.

A Chance worth Taking
Revisado: 08-14-21
An absolute adventure! Imogen Church did an excellent job performing this fast paced story. I had no trouble keeping track of characters because she was able to consistently change her voice to fit each character. I can still hear them now. Sarah Kozloff crafted a layered book of intricate characters, worlds and magic, she really outdid herself in Book 2. I absolutely loved seeing our heroine’s development. I just loved this book and immediately purchased books 3 and 4 before I even finished reading Book 2! Yes, it’s that good!

An Absolute Adventure Bravo Evan
Revisado: 09-11-20
I am a big lover of fantasy books especially those that have intricate magic systems. This book gave me the beginnings of that, but more so military fantasy. The story is so good, you will literally feel like you are in the middle of a battlefield. Pacing was impeccable! I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it, considering it was not super witchy. What captured me was the storytelling, plot, world building, new forms of magic, characters and their development. I also purchased the hardcover for my son and to view the map and glossary.
Prentice Onayemi brought the story to life with his flawless narration. I’m just so happy that I stepped out of my comfort zone and gave this amazing book a chance. I can’t wait to listen to book 2!

Revisado: 12-06-19
Literally the best narration I have ever listened to. Simon Vance did a fantastic job bringing Hamilton’s book to life. The voice changes were impeccable! I could tell who was talking every time. I fell in love with the characters and this beautifully layered story. If you are looking for a listen that will take you on an amazing adventure with magic, dragons, and a charmingly reluctant knight. Please do try this gem, you won’t regret it!
