4 August, 2012. Super Saturday. On the most electric night in the history of British sport, Mo Farah braved the pain and punishment to seize Olympic gold in the 10,000m - and in the process went from being a talented athlete to a national treasure. Seven days later, Mo seized his second gold at the 5000m to go where no British distance runner has gone before. Historia
Man’s Search for Meaning is the chilling yet inspirational story of Viktor Frankl’s struggle to hold on to hope during the unspeakable horrors of his years as a prisoner in Nazi concentration camps. Between 1942 and 1945 Frankl labored in four different camps, including Auschwitz, while his parents, brother, and pregnant wife perished. Based on his own experience and the experiences of those he treated in his practice, Frankl argues that we cannot avoid suffering, but we can choose how to cope with it, find meaning in it, and move forward with renewed purpose.

Still eye opening after 20 years
Revisado: 12-27-20
I first read man's search for meaning when I was 20 sans chapter on logatherapy.. Connecting these two together and having read more about other types of psychotherapy, I'm unsure why Frankyl's method is not the most widely spread taught and practiced.
it's the birthplace of modern behavior shaping books like grit, range, outliers, etc. focus on the future, focus on others. this leads to real actualization.
This book should be mandatory for everyone, to understand there are no races just decent and non decent men/women.

perfect book to gain composure of oneself during the somewhat trying times of this pandemic. No matter how hard we may have it, others have had it harder and rose up from it. brilliant story, wish I had read it earlier.

Historia
I’ve been in this life for fifty years, been trying to work out its riddle for forty-two, and been keeping diaries of clues to that riddle for the last thirty-five. Notes about successes and failures, joys and sorrows, things that made me marvel, and things that made me laugh out loud. How to be fair. How to have less stress. How to have fun. How to hurt people less. How to get hurt less. How to be a good man. How to have meaning in life. How to be more me. Recently, I worked up the courage to sit down with those diaries.

interesting topic
Revisado: 10-28-20
the content in parts is super interesting, but dragged out.
the author focused on extreme sports and meditation as some of the physical ways to get in flow. yet if you ask a golfer, runner or cyclist they will tell you moments where they experience peak feeling of flow. when talking about the hedonistic calendar why not include less risky sports in the list for people to find themselves?

hopefully Trevor follows through with the ending of some of the stories though.

also I struggled to tie together when in the timeline the jumping out the moving van happened. was his mum with able, if so why didn't he go and hunt those big tough guys down.
