Historia
The host of Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson Tonight offers a blistering critique of the new American ruling class, the elites of both parties, who have taken over the ship of state, leaving the rest of us, the citizen-passengers, to wonder: How do we put the country back on course?

Great understanding of both political parties
Revisado: 07-24-21
First of all thanks Tucker Carlson for your narration of the book. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the book, because of the history of both political parties and how their decisions are affecting our country, and it's not for our good of the people. It's for the elites of our world we live in today, and it's not going to change. I really found some truth behind the political machines, media and social media that is manipulating the way we see and hear our news.

"Unvarnished. Funny. Leaving no stone unturned"...So say the publishers about this audiobook I've written. What I say is that this is the story of my life, told as clear as a Texas sky and in the same rhythm that I lived it. It's a story of restlessness and the purity of the moment and living right. Of my childhood in Abbott, Texas, to the Pacific Northwest, from Nashville to Hawaii, and all the way back again. Of selling vacuum cleaners and encyclopedias while hosting radio shows and writing song after song, hoping to strike gold.

Willie Nelson at his best.
Revisado: 01-12-21
I really enjoyed the book, to be honest I didn't know he was such a great songwriter, before becoming a music legend. It really gets into the life of Willie Nelson, growing up dirt poor, selling vacuum cleaners, his DJ days, writing songs and then becoming a music superstar. Definitely worth the read.

Amazon.com started off delivering books through the mail. But its visionary founder, Jeff Bezos, wasn't content with being a bookseller. He wanted Amazon to become the everything store, offering limitless selection and seductive convenience at disruptively low prices. To do so, he developed a corporate culture of relentless ambition and secrecy that's never been cracked. Until now.

Interesting profile of Jeff Bezos
Revisado: 12-21-20
When I purchased the book I just wanted to know how Amazon became Amazon. It is very interesting to know that his vision into the future of what's coming and pursuing it until it's realized is his goal and demands the same of the employees. I didn't like the narration, sounded like Walter Cronkite reading the news. Overall it is a very interesting story of a company that started in a garage to become one the leading retailers in the world!!

Good Hunting: An American Spymaster's Story is the spellbinding memoir of Devine's time in the CIA, where he served for more than 30 years, rising to become the acting deputy director of operations, responsible for all of the agency's spying operations. This is a story of intrigue and high-stakes maneuvering - all the more gripping when the fate of our geopolitical order hangs in the balance. But this audiobook also sounds a warning to our nation's decision makers.

Just okay
Revisado: 08-20-18
I was expecting something more of what's it like to be a spy, secret missions perhaps. I really struggled to get to the end of this book. I do appreciate the author and his services for our country. I thought the narration was excellent. One thing I did learn is how involved the U.S. in influencing other countries, I think it's kinda funny how we are into the 2nd year of how the Russians influenced our elections and we have been doing it to other countries for 70 years.

Historia
The Talmud says: “If someone comes to kill you, rise up and kill him first.” This instinct to take every measure, even the most aggressive, to defend the Jewish people is hardwired into Israel’s DNA. From the very beginning of its statehood in 1948, protecting the nation from harm has been the responsibility of its intelligence community and armed services, and there is one weapon in their vast arsenal that they have relied upon to thwart the most serious threats: Targeted assassinations have been used countless times, on enemies large and small....

Excellent story of Israeli government
Revisado: 05-23-18
I happened upon watching Homeland on Showtime and really enjoy the CIA part of the show and wanted to find a book about the CIA, and kind of stumbled on this book.
The book really is a history of Israel and it's counter terrorism to protect it's people from the Arab nations surrounding Israel. It really gets into the details of the assassinations of the people trying to get rid of the Israeli nation, from the 40's to present day. Nothing is held back to protect their people and interests in the Middle East. I sometimes wish our government would do the same but as you read this book you will discover that we do. After reading this book I'm glad we are their Allie in the Middle East. It's interesting to know that the Middle East countries know you mess with Israel, you are dealing with the U.S.A.

Historia
Nothing Like It in the World is the story of the men who built the transcontinental railroad. In Ambrose's hands, this enterprise comes to life. The U.S. government pitted two companies - the Union Pacific and the Central Pacific railroads - against each other in a race for funding, encouraging speed over caution. As its peak the work force approached the size of Civil War armies, with as many as 15,000 workers on each line. The surveyors, the men who picked the route, lived off buffalo, deer, and antelope.

Great history, poor narration
Revisado: 04-29-18
I had read the book when it first came out and really enjoyed it. I thought perhaps in the audio version it would have been better, unfortunately Stephen Ambrose only read the prologue. If you are interested in the history of the story of how the railway was completed from Omaha to Sacramento it really is an extraordinary accomplishment of how they completed this with the technology of 1865!!!
The narration was really bad, with some really long pauses within the chapters, at first I thought there's something wrong with the tablet I have for listening but no it's the narration, really weird

If you are looking for all the details of the escort world, this is the one to read. It is truly amazing the amount of money spent on these girls and guys. The only part of the story I didn't care for was the constant berating of herself. But for 10 years she made alot of money, although by the sound of it, she didn't save any, but in the end pursued her other passion in life of helping people.

Revisado: 07-26-17
This book is outstanding, listening to the book, one thought I have is I wish all authors would read their book. Mr O'neal did a great job, telling all the details of being a Navy Seal, what it is like to look death in the eye and overcome it, by being endlessly trained for every situation. It really makes me proud to know these men are fighting for the USA and defending our freedom everyday. He gives us some of the humor that goes on even in battle. I can't give this book enough praise, this is a book you will listen to over and over. Thank you Mr. O'neal for your service to our great country and giving Bin Laden two shots to the head!!!

Very Interesting of the politics of war
Revisado: 06-28-17
The Supreme Commander is very well written and easy to listen to. What I found out listening to this book was all of the politics of WWll that Eisenhower had to deal with throughout the war, whether it was Roosevelt, Churchill, Stalin and all of the allied Generals, he had the patience of a saint or lots of ulcers. America was lucky to have this incredible man leading the allies to the greatest war of the 20th century. One thing I would recommend while listening is to look at Google Maps to get an idea of where the battles were taking place.
