It’s like having a favorite story read to you by your favorite person. HOWEVER, I thought I was purchasing the full book. Very disappointed I used a credit on a 2 hour book and that the unabridged version isn’t on here.

Historia
The son of a classical pianist straight out of the Bronx of old Archie comics, Steven Tyler was born to be a rock star. Weaned on Cole Porter, Nat King Cole, Mick and his beloved Janis Joplin, Tyler began tearing up the streets and the stage as a teenager before finally meeting his "mutant twin" and legendary partner, Joe Perry. In this addictively listenable memoir, Tyler unabashedly recounts the meteoric rise, fall, and rise of Aerosmith over the last three decades and riffs on the music that gives it all meaning.

Should've stopped after the 1st half.
Revisado: 01-21-12
What would have made Does the Noise in My Head Bother You? better?
Surely Tyler's got more interesting stories from his adult years than how many girls and drugs he did? Maybe it got less raunchy further into the second half... I don't know, I had to turn it off. It was such a drastic change from the first half of funny, not raunchy stories from his childhood and teen years when Aerosmith began.
Has Does the Noise in My Head Bother You? turned you off from other books in this genre?
Yes. I have Sammy Hagar's Red in my wish list but I'm reluctant to buy it.
Which character – as performed by Jeremy Davidson – was your favorite?
?? Tyler's THE character.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Does the Noise in My Head Bother You??
I'd have to take a look at the second half to figure out why it's SO disconnected from the first half which I loved.
Any additional comments?
If you want to hear a lot of bragging about how many drugs and girls Tyler did, you'll like it. The second half anyway. The first half is humorous and endearing.

Great Historical Fiction.
Revisado: 01-21-12
What did you love best about The Union Quilters?
How well the author intertwined a quilt, a quilting circle and their soldier husbands perspectives into a story with no ends left untied.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Gerta was my favorite. She was most interesting being the scandal of the whole circle and the town yet compassionate to those fighting for the country. And she was a paid employee; unheard of in those times.
Have you listened to any of Christina Moore’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I haven't heard her before but I thought she did an excellent job with characters whether they were male or possessing an accent.
If you could take any character from The Union Quilters out to dinner, who would it be and why?
Gerta. Seems she'd have a plethora of stories to share.

Now, Carrie McClelland hopes to turn that story into her next best-selling novel. Settling herself in the shadow of Slains Castle, she creates a heroine named for one of her own ancestors and starts to write. But then she discovers her novel is more fact than fiction....

Revisado: 01-21-12
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
Romance novel enthusiasts might enjoy this type of fluff. I prefer intriguing characters in intriguing situations.

Utterly boring yawnfest. Couldn't force myself to finish the 1st half.
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
I couldn't understand most of what
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Winter Sea?

Revisado: 07-14-11
Beryl can be a bit long-winded at times (its like listening patiently to a senior tell an intrigiung tale) and the narrator occasionally has a faint but audible nasal whistle, but other than those two minor things, I loved this story. Excellent writing, excellent narration. Highly recommended.

Historia
Academy Award nominee Samuel L. Jackson ( Pulp Fiction) rocks this mock bedtime story, capturing a hilarious range of emotions as the voice of a father struggling to get his child to sleep. Go the F**k to Sleep is a bedtime book for parents who live in the real world, where a few snoozing kitties and cutesy rhymes don’t always send a toddler sailing blissfully off to dreamland.

Master of imagery?
Revisado: 07-13-11
My cousin recommended L'Amour to me so I really wanted to like this. But it's like L'Amour made a movie of it first and frantically wrote down what was happening as it was playing. Too fast paced to have any imagery. I often had to rewind to catch up with what was happening. Thumbs down. Did not finish.

Historia
One of the greatest treats in all world literature, this masterpiece from Mark Twain inspired a literary revolution. The novel offers both brilliant humor and tragedy as Huck and Jim explore the moral dilemmas of slavery and freedom. Huck, the narrator, is shrewd, ingenious, and literal; he reports on everything he sees, which allows the listener to experience the hypocrisy of "sivilization".
