Historia
Do What You Want's principal storytellers are the four voices that define Bad Religion: Greg Graffin, a Wisconsin kid who sang in the choir and became an LA punk rock icon while he was still a teenager; Brett Gurewitz, a high school dropout who founded the independent punk label Epitaph Records and went on to become a record mogul; Jay Bentley, a surfer and skater who gained recognition as much for his bass skills as for his antics on and off the stage.

Eye opening. Even to a huge dedicated fan.
Revisado: 08-20-20
Since 2006, Bad Religion has been a staple in my life. From front to back, this autobiography not only captures the band's 40 year history, but to a huge fan like me, I took away a lot of things from this book that I never knew about them. Even their motivations for certain songs and albums were surprising. I now have an even deeper appreciation for Bad Religion after having heard this book. This book is a must read not only for fans of BR, but to those who want to have a thought-provoking experience.

Historia
The touring band life of a full-time student is full of dichotomies. From 2011-2017, Alex Dontre performed 505 concerts with his band Psychostick while simultaneously pursuing a college education. It culminated with a master's degree in Business Psychology from Franklin University, at which time he gave the commencement speech at his graduation as valedictorian.

A wonderful book written by a talented dude!
Revisado: 06-21-20
When I first heard that Alex was releasing a book and what it would be about, I was thrilled to read it. To my surprise, it was better than I had anticipated. This book was eloquently written and with material simply explained, but, as a fan of Psychostick, I may sound biased. Overall, this book was a refreshing read and I am impressed with Alex as not only a musician, but a scholar as well.
