Historia
Named “Ketanji Onyika,” meaning “Lovely One,” based on a suggestion from her aunt, a Peace Corps worker stationed in West Africa, Justice Jackson learned from her educator parents to take pride in her heritage since birth. She describes her resolve as a young girl to honor this legacy and realize her dreams.

A powerful ornate articulation gives one a feel for the provenance of relationships, duty, and a journey in our Republic. Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson is a gifted storyteller; fart, the high school dance coincidences made me chuckle. However, the “What is Justice” chapter is well done in my opinion. On the whole, ol’ two’s book is a bit long in the tooth and ol’ four thinks it’s cute. Funny, consider the made you look in a good way gag; but, appreciate jurists authoring authentic books.

Historia
Exiled to four years in Siberia, but hailed by the end of his life as a saint, prophet, and genius, Fyodor Dostoevsky holds an exalted place among the best of the great Russian authors. One of Dostoevsky’s five major novels, Devils follows the travails of a small provincial town beset by a band of modish radicals - and in so doing presents a devastating depiction of life and politics in late 19th-century Imperial Russia.

Historia
Eugene Onegin is the master work of the poet whom Russians regard as the fountainhead of their literature. Set in 1820s imperial Russia, Pushkin's novel in verse follows the emotions and destiny of three men - Onegin the bored fop, Lensky the minor elegiast, and a stylized Pushkin himself - and the fates and affections of three women - Tatyana the provincial beauty, her sister Olga, and Pushkin's mercurial Muse.

One of my favorite quotes, “beneath a shady park’s protection he shared her frolics with affection their fathers who were friends had plans to read one day their marriage-bands”. Serendipitous, Dostoevsky propounds marriage is death in Devils.

Fresh retrospective on a founder CEO’s navigation from start to exit, while elucidating personal habits (e.g., physical exercise and healthy competition). Scuba diving is a meditation in ripe mime sale memes, and I encourage all recreational divers to have fun. Take pictures and leave only bubbles. Play ball, consider better seasoning this whole story with Stubb’s Supper (i.e., chapter 64 of Moby Dick by Herman Melville). This is all very funny again; remember the hamsters and gerbils. Like this review, the book is a bit quixotic; too much 1984 not enough Homage to Catalonia because Benjamin. Appreciate the authors soul searching effort to share his adventures dealing with various business executive personalities. Perhaps consider the practice of demonstrating extra empathy on the book tour while keeping it clean.

Historia
Once, the job of leaders was to identify problems and fix them, while leaving nonproblems alone. Today, the notion that the new way is always better than the old way—and that if you aren’t disrupting everything, you are losing—has come to constitute a new orthodoxy of business thinking. Whether it’s a merger or re-org or a new office layout, change has become the ultimate easy button for leaders, who pursue it with abandon, unleashing a torrent of disruption on employees. The result is life in the blender: a perpetual state of upheaval, uncertainty, and unease.

A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, Ralph Waldo Emerson in his essay on Self Reliance. For, this feels more like a pseudo defense to leviathan corporate mergers and acquisitions than a performance scheme. Lookit, manners and etiquette are a salient factors to any entrepreneurial culture. A good counter study is Reginald F. Lewis and TLC. “You won’t make yourself a bit realer by crying”, said one of the twins to Alice in her Wonderland. Inasmuch, I too have empathy for the Walrus. Rare phenomena exist in both business and life. 1+1 =2, QED

David Ignatius is known for his uncanny ability, in novel after novel, to predict the next great national security headline. In Phantom Orbit, he presents a story both searing and topical, with stakes as far-reaching as outer space. It follows Ivan Volkov, a Russian student in Beijing, who discovers an unsolved puzzle in the writings of the seventeenth-century astronomer Johannes Kepler. He takes the puzzle to a senior scientist in the Chinese space program and declares his intention to solve it.

Historia
During the past few years, as our country has faced unprecedented challenges, Senator Klobuchar has been in the room where it happens—on the Senate floor for critical votes during the pandemic, at the debate podium during one of the most critical presidential elections in US history, and in the Capitol on January 6, 2021, when insurrectionists stormed the building, interrupting the certification of the electoral college. It was well past midnight when Klobuchar stood beside then-Vice President Pence to officially certify President Biden's victory.

Amy has a heart of gold, yet that’s just my opinion. At any rate, I for one pray we have more candid representation, advocacy, and, here here, joy too. To wit, such a example of character she establishes for the American people herein. Listen to this women, and maybe just maybe, especially if you are a Minnesotan, write her a handwritten note of gratitude for all she does to better us.

Historia
Everything in law and politics, including individual rights, comes back to divisions of power and the evergreen question: Who decides? Who wins the disputes of the day often turns on who decides them. And our acceptance of the resolution of those disputes often turns on who the decision maker is—because it reveals who governs us. Who Decides makes the case that Constitutional Law should account for the role of the state courts and constitutions, together with the federal courts and constitution, in assessing the right balance of power among all branches of government.

Okay, yet, compared to what?
Revisado: 06-14-22
Hear ye, hear ye. Mr. Judge Sutton is a scholar and a gentleman. To be sure, he is a national treasure [emphasis nonchalant]. Indeed, as the title of this review may suggest, my dear reader, please do not throw me into the briar patch as I am just wrapping up chapter 7 and beginning chapter 8.
Anyway, the literature listing here felt akin to, I am alone, with no review to boot; for, me thinks, I too have begun to gray in my twenty something’s with a certain Newport speech’s legacy indelible.
Ay, the states are the experimental incubation chambers of the republic, and yet litera scripta manet. Maybe, more of a rhetorical question, indulge a refresh, so what’s the comparator again?
Mr. Yen has accomplished a great feat in narrating with, well to do, panache. Okay, I’ll show myself the door now.
With humble gratitude & G-d bless!
