Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Another good Story!
Revisado: 11-03-21
Good story. Wish a different narrator was chosen for this book. He does not do women’s voices well at all. His Narration-demeanor is very distracting to the story and irritating. Only works for me in Joe Ledger books (awesome series).

In the tradition of #Girlboss and Mindy Kaling's Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?, a funny, quirky, and inspiring memoir from online entertainment mogul, actress, and "queen of the geeks" Felicia Day about her unusual upbringing, her rise to Internet stardom, and embracing her individuality to find success in Hollywood.

Thoughts on Today's 'Gamers', Felicia Nailed It.
Revisado: 08-18-15
What made the experience of listening to You're Never Weird on the Internet (Almost) the most enjoyable?
It was like sitting in person in a town hall setting and having a chance to feel her life experiences (thus far).
What about Felicia Day and Joss Whedon - foreword ’s performance did you like?
After listening to the book, I wished there where more personal stories from Felicia expanding from Joss Whedon's experiences with Felicia. But, the book can only be sooo long. :)
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No, I did this book in two settings. Pre-The Guild, then The Guild on. I felted Felicia was going to explain a difference in her life and career from the point of writing the first episode of the Guild. My gut feeling was right and I enjoyed the split setting.
Any additional comments?
I enjoyed this book. Lots of good nuggets for inspiration. I hoped throughout the book Felicia would not get political. She did a great job grazing the surface of liberal views. It was professional and this book should be a inspiration for many. I am glad she entered her "Global Warming is Not a Joke" view at the end. When I re-listen to this book I will be able to stop the recording before then instead of wasting time skipping it. For me, after hearing the awesome last chapter, the political statement hit me like I was enjoying my train ride then suddenly... Oh by the way... derail. It was distracting from her whole awesome point of the book. If Felicia would have left that one political statement out and kept the other examples of the end of the world, then this book, for me, would have ended with a few bonus points in the Dexterity section on my character sheet. Felicia, really good writing. You should narrate Audio-books from time to time. You would be one of my favs.

Historia
Zack Lightman has never much cared for reality. He vastly prefers the countless science-fiction movies, books, and videogames he's spent his life consuming. And too often, he catches himself wishing that some fantastic, impossible, world-altering event could arrive to whisk him off on a grand spacefaring adventure.

Simply Horrible
Revisado: 07-21-15
What would have made Armada better?
Story originality would have helped. This type of story has been done many times before. Cline actually lists a good deal of books that make my point in this book. RPO was original/nerd masterpiece and I expected the same for the sophomore book.
What could Ernest Cline have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Take more time with character development. Not be so repetitive with trying to get the character's point across. This was irritating with and Zach and his father at the Moon base.
What does Wil Wheaton bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
If it was not for Wil Wheaton's narration I would have stopped the book mid way and returned this audio book. However, when Wil voiced... the super computer character, Stephen Hawking, George Takei .... nails on a chalkboard, in the voice of Charles Barkley (Terrible)
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Armada?
Everything beyond the point Zach being picked up at his school.

The space battles were nice.
Revisado: 04-03-15
Too much repetition for me. I am still enjoying the series and will continue. I felt the series went from young adult to teenager in the story writing. Hopefully this does not continue in the next books.
