Historia
From playwright, author and Oscar-nominated actor Jesse Eisenberg, When You Finish Saving the World tells the moving and evocative story of three individuals working to understand each other and themselves: Nathan, a father learning to connect with his newborn son; Rachel, a young college student seeking to find her place in a relationship and in life, before marriage to Nathan; and Ziggy, their son, a teenager hoping to figure out where he came from, and where he’s headed.

Interesting slices of lives
Revisado: 08-11-20
I enjoyed this book very much and thought it was an interesting piece of media. Not your typical audio ook, but worth a listen!
Many reviewers wanted more obvious links between the three character stories, but I thought the slices of life with only vague touch points made it more realistic to how we are connected to the people in our lives.
I rolled my eyes a bit at Rachel's tapes, because the character was so naive and some of the events she "misunderstands" and then ruminates about felt a bit contrived, but maybe that is somewhat accurate for someone who just left high school, IDK.

Historia
Computers have changed since 1981, when Tracy Kidder memorably recorded the drama, comedy, and excitement of one company's efforts to bring a new microcomputer to market. What has not changed is the feverish pace of the high-tech industry, the go-for-broke approach to business that has caused so many computer companies to win big (or go belly up), and the cult of pursuing mind-bending technological innovations.

Entertaining listen
Revisado: 07-27-18
This was a really interesting book to listen to. It's old, but didn't feel irrelevant. The author did a great job of taking something very technical (the design of a new micro computer) and weaving it into a story.
I enjoyed getting a view into the world of computer hardware.
The narrator did a great job and kept me interested and held my attention.
If you're at all interested in technology or computers, this should be on your reading list.

Seriously cringy
Revisado: 07-06-18
I didn’t have an issue with the voice actors narrating this book – the bad review is really because this book sucks. I got it because the movie trailer based on it looked interesting. Big mistake. This book is not well-written. It’s overly descriptive for no reason. Something that I found very annoying was that on a number of occasions the author uses two unrelated catch-phrases that contradict each other in the same sentence. The characters are all annoying and flat. They all carry on, providing ridiculous, superfluous details that don’t make sense. I got halfway, and decided to return this book because my head was going to explode from rolling my eyes so much.
