Historia
Working with thousands of patients, Dr. Gundry has discovered that the “diseases of aging” we most fear are not simply a function of age; rather, they are a byproduct of the way we have lived over the decades. In The Longevity Paradox, he maps out a new approach to aging well - one that is based on supporting the health of the “oldest” parts of us: the microorganisms that live within our bodies.

Real Stories of Real Change
Revisado: 06-06-24
The stories of Dr. Gundy’s patients and friends is so inspiring. I wish I would have been able to share this with my mother before she passed. Mom, I’m going to be a witness to you and my family of how I can change.

Historia
Four days before Christmas in 1943, a badly damaged American bomber struggled to fly over wartime Germany. At its controls was a 21-year-old pilot. Half his crew lay wounded or dead. It was their first mission. Suddenly a sleek, dark shape pulled up on the bomber’s tail - a German Messerschmitt fighter. Worse, the German pilot was an ace, a man able to destroy the American bomber with the squeeze of a trigger.

As I listened to this story, I felt as if I was on the journey with the author. It was a composition that helps us to see others in their homeland, to honor their traditions and to desire to make a difference. We’ll done!

Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

Outstanding
Revisado: 04-05-22
One of the best reads of the year! Where the Crawdads Sing reveals prejudices that are seen and tolerated. It truly makes you dig deep to see what you can change, how you can love more and be a better neighbor. Had a hard time pausing this book. I’ll listen again and again!

Historia
2,000 Miles Together is the story of the largest family ever to complete a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail, defying skeptics and finding friends in the unlikeliest of places. On the trail, Ben Crawford battled not only the many dangers and obstacles presented by the wilderness - snowstorms, record-breaking heat, Lyme disease, overflowing rivers, toothaches, rattlesnakes, forest fires, and spending the night with a cult - but also his own self-doubt.
