This is a Pendergast novel!
Revisado: 03-03-24
With this book, it feels like I have the old Pendergast. The fantasy has come back and completely enthralled me. Can't wait for the next book!

Not bad, slow
Revisado: 05-12-22
while I enjoyed the story, it took a long time to get anywhere and I had, unfortunately, already figured most of it out. There were still a couple surprises at the end though.

Historia
Sue Grafton's X: Perhaps her darkest and most chilling novel, it features a remorseless serial killer who leaves no traces of his crimes. Once again breaking the rules and establishing new paths, Grafton wastes little time identifying this sociopath. The test is whether Kinsey can prove her case against him before she becomes his next victim.

Love Kinsey yet story dragged
Revisado: 01-06-21
I really like the Kinsey Milhone stories, yet this one took too long to develop and made it seem as if Kinsey couldn't put it all together.

His wife, Charlotte, desperate to cheer him up, brings home a vintage typewriter. But Paul swears it’s possessed and types by itself at night - and that it's somehow connected to the murderer....

Good premise, unfortunately I figured it out way too early. Glad there were still a surprise at the end.

Historia
Larry Virgil skipped out on his latest court date after he was arrested for hijacking an eighteen-wheeler full of premium bourbon. Fortunately for bounty hunter Stephanie Plum, Larry is just stupid enough to attempt almost the exact same crime again. Only this time he flees the scene, leaving behind a freezer truck loaded with Bogart ice cream and a dead body—frozen solid and covered in chocolate and chopped pecans.

Back to the Plum I love
Revisado: 11-20-18
This is the best Stephanie Plum I've listened to in awhile. Some of the more recent books have been too silly to be good. It's nice to be back to the Stephanie that has the right blend of plot and ridiculousness!

Good but disappointing end

Disappointed in the ending. Was left wanting better resolution for the "case". Maybe it'll be continued in the next book?

Historia
On opening day of the new baseball season a small model-kit airplane flies down from the stands and buzzes the mound, where a decorated veteran pilot is about to throw out the first ball. The toy plane is the exact replica of the one flown by the war hero. Everyone laughs, thinking it's a prank or a publicity stunt. Until it explodes, killing dozens. Seconds later a swarm of killer drones descend upon the picnicked crowd, each one carrying a powerful bomb. All across the country artificial intelligence drive systems in cars, commuter trains and even fighter planes go out of control.
