Nice eye opener
Revisado: 09-06-24
I feel the author did a great job of providing arguments against Christianity and how to see past the so called cover. I enjoyed the facts that were presented in opposition to the how the mega church pastors sold out their congregation out for power and glory. Just shows what the Bible predicted is coming out to be true.

Historia
A family doctor with limited surgical experience, Dr. Dave Hnida volunteered for two tours of duty in Iraq - first as a battalion surgeon with a combat unit and then as trauma chief at the busiest Combat Support Hospital (CSH) during the Surge. Like a modern-day M*A*S*H, Dr. Hnida and his team conducted surgery under terrible conditions in a series of tents connected to the occasional run-down building.

180 degrees different view of war
Revisado: 10-01-22
This book shows the side of war most don’t realize exists. The doctor explains how it feels to be away from his family and why he signed up to help the troops. He also paints how a group of doctors all from different places in the U.S. came together to save as many people possible in time of war. How he was only there for 4 Months and other troops has to stay for 12 to 15 months. Explained the pain of watching and repairing torn young soldiers in war. The mental aspect of that people react differently after war.
The book is well written and read that you feel like a story your grandfather or dad would be telling you.

Being a Marine never thinking the men and women taking care of us other then the cormen or doc’s as we called them. This book shows a side of war most never think or dream about. Doctor Warren accounts made me thank God that I never was sent to war.

This is a fine balance between over coming addition and describing his running career. One of the better ashes to survival stories I had the pleasure of listening to.

Historia
In an increasingly secular society, those who have a biblical worldview are now a shrinking minority. As mainstream culture grows more hostile toward the Bible’s truths and those who embrace them, you’ll face mounting pressures — from family, friends, media, academia, and government — to change and even abandon your beliefs. But these challenges also create abundant opportunities to stand strong for Christ and shine light to those hurt by the darkness of our day.

I was in lighted how fragile religion as I know it really is. I enjoyed how the author broke down the faults the common christen fall into every day. I recommend this book for anything but a self check that we are not as religious as we feel.

Good content but hard to listen to…
Revisado: 10-22-21
I enjoyed the content when I was not drifting in an out of other thoughts. The reader an I understand why was a monotone thru out the whole book. The author had a ton of information which I enjoyed but kept on backing up the book to get the full content and meaning. If you need to relax and can focus while listening to this book, it is worth listening to it.

Revisado: 08-26-21
I enjoyed this book it has re-awoke what I always felt dear in my heart. It gives a clear image what life should be about and handled. How to be one with your inner self and peace with your self. Some people might disagree but that is the beauty about life we all don’t need to agree. Quick read but need to be ready to relax absorb the book.
