It’s probably been 15 years since I first read the Abolition of Man but I had never read the Great Divorce. Both are excellent.

I’m very much a fan of Tyson. I liked his chapters best. Overall the book was good.

Very basic content but success is comprised of repeatedly doing very basic stuff so it’s not a bad thing.

The content was good. It’s basically a rehash of the content from 4HWW on refining processes and then delegating to VAs.

The book begins with punch, depth, and humor — and then keeps on delivering all the way to the end. The single word would not be unbelievable, but instead, inspiring.

I think this book does a good job of emphasizing the need for people to simply acknowledge, without judgement, where they are and what they’re feeling. Name your feelings.
I was frustrated that the author blames the acknowledgment of sin for all the woes of society and then later in the book has to insert caveats about how some thing are bad and some things are good. Sin exists and there is bad; or sin doesn’t exist and there is no bad.
I am very happily Catholic and take comfort knowing that the ‘beloved’ has a name and it is God. And we have prayer, sacraments, theology of the body to acknowledge where we are and (most importantly) help us get to where we are meant to be.
