Historia
Like every other hobbit, Bilbo Baggins likes nothing better than a quiet evening in his snug hole in the ground, dining on a sumptuous dinner in front of a fire. But when a wandering wizard captivates him with tales of the unknown, Bilbo becomes restless. Soon he joins the wizard’s band of homeless dwarves in search of giant spiders, savage wolves, and other dangers. Bilbo quickly tires of the quest for adventure and longs for the security of his familiar home. But before he can return to his life of comfort, he must face the greatest threat of all.

When will the plot advance. Just more of the same, over, and over and over. ZZZZZZ, I keep falling asleep. How am I ever going to get through 7 more volumes. Better than sleeping pills.

Good Story but..
Revisado: 12-13-21
I was very distracted by the lead female character being called TODD!
You probably should have called her Fred to go with her husband, Barney.
Foolish name choices ruined the flow of the story.

King Shrewd is dead at the hands of his son Regal. As is Fitz - or so his enemies and friends believe. But with the help of his allies and his beast magic, he emerges from the grave, deeply scarred in body and soul. The kingdom also teeters toward ruin: Regal has plundered and abandoned the capital, while the rightful heir, Prince Verity, is lost to his mad quest - perhaps to death. Only Verity's return - or the heir his princess carries - can save the Six Duchies.

Revisado: 07-25-21
Very hard to follow (voices not distinct enough to know who is talking). Long really boring quest, extremely rushed ending. Cut the quest and write a more balanced book.

Historia
For the Sake of the Game is the latest volume in the award-winning series from New York Times best-selling editors Laurie R. King and Leslie S. Klinger, with stories of Sherlock Holmes, Dr. Watson, and friends in a variety of eras and forms. King and Klinger have a simple formula: Ask some of the world's greatest writers-regardless of genre - to be inspired by the stories of Arthur Conan Doyle. The results are surprising and joyous.

Total waste, fanfiction is better than this!
Revisado: 04-21-21
What makes them think a bunch of random authors could write in this genre. Nothing positive to say, each story was worse than the last. Some had no ending, some had no Sherlockian characters. Could not listen to this junk.

Historia
Anne Lister was extraordinary. Fearless, charismatic, and determined to explore her lesbian sexuality, she forged her own path in a society that had no language to define her. She was a landowner, an industrialist, and a prolific diarist whose output has secured her legacy as one of the most fascinating figures of the 19th century. Gentleman Jack: The Real Anne Lister follows Anne from her crumbling ancestral home in Yorkshire to the glittering courts of Denmark as she resolves to put past heartbreak behind her and find herself a wife.

About 30% copied from first book
Revisado: 02-20-21
I loved the first book, the Gold Coast, and the ratings on this book were just as high. BUT I am on Chapter 33, and it so far has been a recapilulation of the first book. Just now seeing glimpses of plot progression. I will say the narrator for both books brings the story to life.
