I liked this yarn.
I liked the Martian and I loved the Bob universe and this is a nice simple small cast mashup.
The amnesia angle was a little thin. The flashbacks.... Well they seem to be the in thing.
Other folk might have spun this into a trilogy somehow so 16 hours went quickly.
I may Re-read again later.

This did grow on me.
It's along yarn and it took a while for me to warn to the performer. It was contagious for me and i started talking to my family in a driviatve drawl.
The characters we fairly thin and predicable although some characters grew over time
The farms seem to have everything going for them so the stories all have fights with neato weapons and "where ever did you get that awesome.......
Almost like the endless surprises in batman's utility belt.
But hey I liked it for what it was. A long post apocalyptic yarn with retro gender roles a kid in a candy store aspect
